A Descriptive Guide of VIT Chennai

Overall Rating
VIT University, Chennai has a strong academic environment, well structured, and modern infrastructure but rules are very strict here. Campus is clean, organized and hostel facilities are good too. Placements are good if you have a good CGPA especially for CSE and IT branches. The fee is also on higher structure but if you are looking for quality education then choose this University.
 

Academics Rating
I am B.Tech first year student in Computer Science core branch. You have to give VITEEE exam for this University. I scored around 10,000 (All India Rank), I got this course in second category. For admissions, you have to attend the counselling session and choose your desired campus and branch according to your rank. Then, they allot you the campus and branch according to the cut-off.
In VIT University, Chennai we have to give our fees year wise. My fees for all four years is Rs. 2,09,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is very good here and I can proudly say that the University is known for their faculty. For quality education it is excellent. Most of faculty members are locals but they are well educated from Foreign Universities. Their method of teaching is by PPTs, blackboard and group discussions. The problem solving techniques of faculty and the ratio of teachers is excellent according to the students.
 

Placement Rating
I don’t know much about Placements, but if you study hard and you have the skills, you will definitely get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good here but there are time restrictions for students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is in approximately 200 acres which is a very big area. There are 5 academic blocks, 4 hostel blocks, 3 cafeterias, 1 library of three floors, and two auditoriums. Sports facilities are also good. There are separate grounds for each game and campus is very well maintained and clean. Every hostel blocks has their respective gym and academic blocks are such that they are close to hostel blocks so there is not any type of problem in reaching the class.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is very good in VIT University, Chennai. But it is very crowded at evening time. There are many clubs for Tech and culture both. I am a part of the Tech club. There is an annual fest which happens here every year named ‘Vibrance’ in the month of February and a technical event named ‘TechnoVIT’. Both fests are very good. Campus life is very good and busy here.

    VIT University has strong placement records, well-experienced faculty, etc. I have chosen this university because it has best record placements. Infrastructure of hostel is well mentioned. Teachers are very friendly. It is best university regarding education and enjoy at the same time. In various institutes, there are no good labs, placement records, and modern infrastructure but VIT University has everything. Ragging and other stuffs will not take place in universities....     VIT University is probably the best university after top NIT. The overall experience is good and enjoyable except constant exams but several events make up for it. Teaches are with high knowledge but lack in teaching skills. Overall experience is very good with lots of opportunities to explore ourselves and allows enjoying several cultures.
