VIT Chennai Campus Life: Clubs, Activities & More

VIT University has strong placement records, well-experienced faculty, etc. I have chosen this university because it has best record placements. Infrastructure of hostel is well mentioned. Teachers are very friendly. It is best university regarding education and enjoy at the same time. In various institutes, there are no good labs, placement records, and modern infrastructure but VIT University has everything. Ragging and other stuffs will not take place in universities.

The course chosen by me is Data Science. To take admission in this university you have to write entrance exam. Based on your rank in entrance exam, your fee varies. You should pass 12th with minimum 75% criteria. It follows a flexible credit system that allows students to pick a subject based of their interest.

I have secured 5k ranks in VIT University’s entrance exam. There are 5 categories in fee structure from category 1 (cat1) to category 5 (cat t). Fee increases from category 1 to category 5. I have chosen Data Science and there is has so much competition for getting seat in this branch. Therefore, I secured rank at cat 4. With this 25k rank, if I join in any other branches (ECE, EEE, and Mechanical) then I would come in cat 1, 2, or 3. In cat 4, academic fee is 4. 5 Lakh.

Faculty is well experienced. They are ready to clear our doubts at any time. They are very friendly with us. They focus on how to share practical knowledge to students. Faculty teaching here has best experience in teaching. Some of the teachers are having 15 years of experience. They focus on how students can achieve other projects. They modify students on such a way. Teachers here have practical skills.

VIT University Chennai has strong placement record. Many big companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and Infosys visit for hiring. The average package is 6 to 7 Lakh. It is good regarding placements.

Our hostel is of 17 floors. Girls and boys have separate hostels. Mess food is good. It will provide hygienic food with various varieties. However, food is not spicy or salt it is decent. While comparing to other universities, food provided here is good. We can get food any know of times except chicken. It provides daily fruits for lunch. There are three four type of foods are there veg, non-veg, special, and food park for more details go to official page and check. Mess timings are for breakfast: 7 AM to 9 PM, for lunch: 12 AM to 2 PM and for dinner: 7 PM to 9 PM. Hostels rules are come to hostel before 9 PM, do not bring speakers, and make more noise in rooms. Hostel rooms are good and washrooms are also good as staff cleans them daily. It does not take back step regarding hygiene. There is gym in every hostel block. I have chosen 4-bed AC room with non-veg mess facility for which I paid nearly 2 Lakh in a year and 6.5 Lakh in total.

VIT University Chennai is a modern campus with well-built infrastructure. The campus includes smart classrooms, good practical labs, etc. It has a library with well modern facilities with centralized AC. Library contains various books. it has a huge collection of books. There is a Wi-Fi in the whole campus. It has good medical services, modern facilities for the sports as there are football court, volleyball court, etc. It has multiple program labs.

My overall campus experience is good. It has not much crowd. There are so many clubs and you can join any of them based on your interest. I have chosen Hack Club here. It helped me in improving my coding skills. There are so many extracurricular activities in the campus for entertainment. The only negative is we have to register for events, whether it is taking part in any of the event or enjoy them. My experience is good.
