The College kept looking me better and better with every year that I spent here. Students were the puppeteers who held most strings. If we were not happy with any of the faculty, there was a complaint cell where we could go and tell. After the same complaint against the same faculty comes repeatedly, strict actions were taken. For all those who used to stay far from the College, how College life was, I will get to know about that in my review. My days used to start with an alarm at 6 am. Had less than an hour to get ready as the bus would come a few minutes before 7 am. The bus ride was fun as I used to pass my time chatting with some juniors and seniors. On days, I needed my space, I used to tune into some quality music. I loved sleeping too, but there were those friends who would take sleeping selfies with you and post them on social media. It took around 1 and a half hour to reach the destination and then start the day with a bang.

After reaching College around 8:40, we had 15-20 minutes to recollect the last class as the new class would start sharp at 9 am. The later comers were discarded to enter the class and that was the reason many students missed the first class. The day was divided in two halves as the lunch break was scheduled at 12:45, so we used to have three lectures pre-lunch and an equal number of lectures post-lunch. Finally, our day of academics ended at 4:30 to 5 pm. I used to board the last bus which left the College at 6:30, so after attending those lengthy lectures, I used to spend time with my friends for the next one and a half hours.

Most students who joined this College were either residing in hostels or coming from distant places. So, bunking possibility became impossible; and if we have bunked the lecture, and the faculty knew about that, you are gone then. The faculty used to take attendance too seriously, and like the school, the faculty would see each face while calling their names. Friday was like black Friday for us as the College remained closed on weekends and faculty didn't like that. Thus, to make sure we are occupied on the weekend, they would give us assignments that ruined our weekends.

Like PIET canteens are known for providing healthy food; the placement of the College is known for providing good placements. The Electronics department may be the second-best after CSE, but in terms of packages offered it wasn't that far. Many top companies come from placements as students of PIET become eligible for placements from the 5th semester. Placements were great as 8 out of 10 students get placements, even if not with a handsome package. So, the placement quality and the placement percentage both were in favor of students.

There were a couple of boys' hostels, but the capacity, including both the hostels, was quite low. Around 300 students used to stay at the hostels and the College had a rule that firstly it would be allotted to students coming outside of NCR and then to the students of NCR. It is impossible that seats in the hostel would be left empty as PIET has students from various states of India. I was surprised to see students coming from Gujarat and Kerala, the states which have many good engineering Colleges. The hostels were amazing but, as they say, don't appreciate a thing until you buy it. Since I was not a part of the hostel, I will not endorse it much. Jokes aside, the hostels were brilliant and had facilities and food that didn't amazed the students with superb food but with a life to remember for a lifetime.

The administrative block held most of the facilities as it had a seminar hall. The capacity of the hall was less; but facilities and equipment-wise, it was great. A library account was made, and that way the library kept the check on which all books you have issued, and have you surpassed the due date of returning it or not. In the library there is an Internet Lab, but with a lesser capacity. No worries though: the central computer lab could accommodate over 250 students at a time. There were three cafes in all at the campus and the PIET café was the best of the lot.

Campus life was quite happening at PIET, but the only hindrance to me was that everything here was scheduled in the daytime. The two of the biggest events of the College Maestros and Carbuncle were amazing. Many social initiatives, too, are taken at campus life. If there's a rally in any part of India, PIET students can go on a march past the College supporting that event. Other than that, orientation and convocation days were the best part of PIET's campus life.
