The institute comes at the top 2nd position of UPTU institutes. The conditions of the institute are better than many state institutes. If you are thinking of pursuing higher studies here this place can give you a perfect environment for it. If you are from the CS, IT, or ECE branch then you can expect the placement from the campus. For other branches, it is better to prepare for higher studies. There are so many clubs and forums for extracurricular activities. The seniors manage all the clubs.

Regular classes are conducted in the academic building. There is 75% attendance compulsion, so you have to maintain it. There are two mid-term exams in one semester. Since the institute is autonomous, there is not too much pressure to study (except Mechanical). All the question papers are created by the faculty. You have to just prepare the concepts that the faculty has taught you. The rest of the time you can focus on your actual target (GATE, Placements, Govt Exams, etc). Extracurricular activities like Webinars, Conferences, and Events are conducted from time to time by the institute to provide exposure and motivation to the students.

The faculty of the institute is very supportive. Especially the old faculty and professors are very supportive (exceptions are excluded). Personally, I like H.K.Mishra Sir, Kapil Saxena Sir, and Rakesh Sir who is retired now. I am an Electronics Engineering Student and the faculty in the electronics department is very good (unable to tell much about the new faculty). The teachers regularly take classes and solve student doubts.

There is no lack of talent in the institute but the Placement Cell is average. Due to less attention from the placement faculties, students apply on their own to various companies but don’t get many responses. I think the cell needs to improve the methodology. However, some companies regularly visit here every year (TCS, Ittiam, HCL, and BEL). Almost 60% of the students got placed on campus and the rest prepared for the GATE exam. Many of the students are placed Off-campus. The average package of this institute is 4 LPA - 5 LPA and the highest package of the recent year is 16 LPA. Previous year, it was 32 LPA (off campus).

There are separate hostels for boys and girls. There is one hostel for girls and the rest for boys. The hostel fee is not too much (Rs.10, 000/- per year) and the mess fee is (Rs.20, 000/- per semester). Also, there are options for the students to stay outside the institute. The mess food is okay. The hostel rooms are available for 2, 3, 4 seaters (Single seater only for final year). Every new academic year, the hostels are changed according to the years. All the hostels are newly renovated and repainted.

The furniture quality is good enough. There are both types of furniture available (new and old). There is no furniture problem in the hostels. Sometimes there is a water problem here. Regular cleaning of the hostels is done. Campus building is also good. There is a playground, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, and tennis court for students who are willing to play sports. Also, there is sports club availability.

Campus life contains both types of elements: Positive and average. It is your decision to choose the right type. I will suggest you make a good friend circle (3-4 is enough). There is a greenery and pleasant environment for morning and evening walks. The main market is 2-3 km away from the campus. Girls are allowed in the campus till 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM while boys don't have any restrictions here (except 1st year). The institute campus is ragging-free.
