My experience at Indian Institute of Technology Madras has been very good. One of the best things I felt about IIT Madras Campus is its lush green environment. Campus provides all necessary stationary, and requirements for smooth study. I choose IIT Madras because of its academic excellence and great set of faculty. I recommend IIT Madras as it consists the best peers to study along in India.

As for B.Tech program, one will have to clear JEE Main and Advanced. You will have to clear JEE Main first then JEE Advanced. Only candidates who clear the JEE Main and rank among the top candidates in the JEE Advanced are eligible to apply. As for educational qualification, candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their primary subjects. There are minimum marks required in the 12th standard, which may vary each year. Therefore, it is advised to frequently look upto official website of JEE. In addition, candidates need to meet the specific cut-off criteria set by IITs. Age limit is 17 to 25 years for general category. Motive for enrolling in this program to get undergraduate degree.

Indian Institute of Technology Madras consists of great set of professor's and teaching assistants with excellent reputation and experience. The professor’s way of teaching is unlike what I have experienced in my past education. Their captivating explanations with practical examples helps a lot in immerse in whatever is being taught to you. I must say that faculty available here is best of India.

Yes, we indeed have placement cell at our institute. It actively helps students to be placed. All students are notified on openings via emails from placement cell regarding any new internships or job opportunities at the latest with all the necessary details.

Yes, we have excellent residential facilities at our institute. In one word, hostel life is peaceful at here. I have stayed in Mandakini hostel. It has two vending machines at the each entrance in ground floor, two indoor badminton courts, one outdoor basketball court, one outdoor volleyball court, indoor GYM; reading room at every floor, an entertainment room, and each floor has about six washing machines. In addition, water dispenser is available at every corner of each floor. Infrastructure of newer buildings is very good. Occasionally various competitions are conducted by secretaries of hostel as part of recreational activities.

The campus buildings are placed in a very convenient way. Roughly, the campus is divided into hostel zone, academic area, sports area and teachers quarters. Mess is not available attached to hostels, but rather built separately. Regarding classroom and auditorium, classrooms are equipped with latest speakers, projectors and other equipment. Campus has air-conditioned large auditorium and multiple seminar halls. IIT Madras has specialized laboratories with high tech instruments for innovative research. Five-floored central library has rich academic atmosphere to immerse in studies. For moving around the campus, we have bus facility, which goes around the campus from morning to night at every 15 minutes.

Campus life at IIT Madras is dynamic and it offers the students a balanced experience between both academic and extracurricular activities. Here we have rigorous academic environment with brightest minds of India who pushes you to the next level of yourself. Even though academics is slightly challenging, but there people you could to reach help you out. We have annual technical fest called ‘Shaastra’ conducted in month of January in which workshops, prized competitions and lecturers by leading people of present technology are conducted. We have numerous student run clubs that include a wide range of interests. Examples, music, dance, literature, robotics, coding, VFX and design, astronomy and many more. These clubs helps to learn skills, collaborate and to socialize.
