My overall experience until now has been really good. The campus is really good and it really big so we can enjoy most of the time on our campus itself. As I am in Chennai the weather is really hot but inside the campus, the weather is somewhat cold as there is more greenery like trees, etc. It is a 450 acres campus and around 100 acres is like a forest, so the weather is really good. I chose this institute because it ranked top 1 and also was nearest to my house. I will honestly tell if you are looking for a great campus life and to excel your career in your academics it's really good institute to join.

Honestly, the academics part is really good if your sole focus is studying academics and getting into research but here the academic load is too much compared to other IIT's there are too many classes and assignments also more if you want to give time to explore for other things then it might be a bad idea choosing this institute. I have enrolled in an engineering design course; the requirement is the JEE advanced rank and eligibility is of course JOSAA requirements, and my motive was simple as I got only this course in this college. If you are purely interested in design, then you can join this course and yes, this course has more classes than any other course in this institute.

My faculty is good, their backgrounds are mostly PhD and higher studies, and their style of teaching is definitely not up to the mark as they are really good at research-related things but not good at teaching, but some teachers are really good. If I want to say my experience my Maths professor is okay but fast at teaching and my physics professor is basically the worst at teaching and my programming professor is really good and other teachers are fine.

Yes, we do have a placement cell. They really help students get placed in top companies as the competition is high but still the placement cell brings the best companies from all over the world, and they are more than 500 companies coming every time with more than 800 job profiles. You can get more than 2 crore packages if you are skilled and passionate.

Yes, the hostels are there. The fresher's hostel is the best in our campus and it’s really good as they renovated it recently. But unfortunately, from the 2nd year, the hostels are really bad, no proper renovation all buildings are like 50 years old. There is no proper renovation every year. There are good activities given as there are tier hostel tournaments and sports facility are really good, the gym is provided.

The infrastructure is good and there are many academic blocks and especially if any biotech student joining your building is going to be crazy with full AC everything and the sports complex is really good, and all sports are available. The academic complexes are also big but old but it's fine. The department blocks are really good.

Overall campus life is really good there are always some events going on in campus clubs of all categories are present there are two big fests present Shasta and Saarang and its epic you can enjoy your full time. The fests are organised on big level celebrities and big artists come from all over the country to perform. So, you can meet your idols and everyone too.
