Oriental Institute of Science and Technology is Academic Oriented

Overall Rating
Overall this institute is not for someone who has an expectation of all fun and enjoyment in college, you can get good academics and opportunities, but they are really strict with their curriculum and management. This institute is well reputed in our city that is Bhopal and is also well recognised among some major companies. Placements are not up to the mark but give us various opportunities for our future.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are good in this institute. The curriculum and semester pattern is very well designed. We have 2 mid semesters per semester and they consider the better of 2 in end semester results. Mid semesters are of 20 marks per subject which is not stressful. Although, the assignments can get really stressing some time. In first year we need to study every subject that is in engineering, even if you are a CS student.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is well educated but can get angry sometimes. But, here the relationship between the faculty and students is not up to the mark.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is not that great although some well known companies come into our campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel rooms are good although needs some renovations as they are quite old buildings. Though they have clean rooms and mess food is also good in taste and quality.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of this institute is old fashioned and it needs some reconstruction and renovations around some places. The labs are well equipped with all the necessary apparatus and the seminar halls are also very spacious. Our classes are although quite small and there should be some bigger classes in order to accommodate all of us in class. Washrooms are clean and always well maintained. The auditorium is big and can accommodate a whole branch inside at one time.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is fun. there are seniors who are always there to help us out in various factors like if we need some guidance they are there with it and if we need some other opportunities like some co-curricular activities the they will always recommend us some activities. The crowd here is good and helpful.

    I have taken admission in 2024. I chose this Institute because of its fee structure. It is a very good Institute in Bhopal. The way the teachers teach is very unique and good. In other Institutes, the teachers focus only on completing the syllabus. But, in this Institute they focus on the growth of the students. Overall, my personal experience at this Institute is good....     The campus of college is not such big but it is of average size. The experience in the Institute till now is just ok. We have to hustle for 75% attendance in the college and write many assignments on daily basis. After that all we have is some friends from different corners of India and with them we make fun and do some activities. I chose this college because I have got a tuition fee welfare seat.   • Placement Opportunities at OIST Bhopal

    Engineering to me was purely because of my elder brother who finished his engineering and made me feel that this is the only course which has some scopes. I had some doubts and concerns but thanks to Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal as all those vanished in just a month. If one thinks engineering is boring then I would recommend them our institute as we have more fun than studies. So well balanced academics here that one has liberty to do all that he/she wants....
