Maharaja Surajmal Institute BCA: Fee Structure, Curriculum, and Eligibility

There are multiple factors that I kept in mind while selecting the institute which are: Placement opportunity provided by the college and in which MSI was on top. Academics quality in the college and in that too MSI stands on top. Third factor that I considered was the distance of the campus from my home. In first round of counseling I got another college which was also a reputed college that also has a good infrastructure but that was too far and was on second in terms of placement and the academics so I chose Maharaja Surajmal Institute.

I have opted BCA in MSI and the main motive for enrolling in this course is my interest towards the IT sector and Computer Technology. Eligibility criteria of the institute is the student must have 50% in the 12th standard and the student have to appear on the IPUCET BCA exam according to which the rank of the candidate is decided. If the students qualified the cutoff of the institute then, the students is informed to report in the institute for the admission and final fees submission. Exams are organised twice in a semester and one is considered Internal another is External, both consists of Theory and Practical exams. Academics curriculum is up to date which focuses on the trendy subject of the industry making the student ready for the industry.

Fee structure of the BCA course is as follows: First year: Rs. 1,26,000, it consists of the tuition fees, admission fees and university fees. Second year: Rs. 1,15,000, it consists of the tuition fees, University fees and the other student activity fees with student insurance. Third year: Rs. 1,13,750, it consists of the tuition fees, University fees and the placement fees. Fees is same for all the reserved categories, however institute provides some scholarships services for the reserved categories which helps the students to cover a portion of the tuition fees.

Faculty of the institute is very supportive and they have very good knowledge about their subject. All Faculty members are either Ph.D holders or pursuing Ph.D. Faculty members are always ready to solve the doubts and provide the guidance to the students related to the career and life problems too. The teacher - student ratio at the college is 1:15. The faculty members are very approachable and they have very helpful nature.

Infrastructure of the campus was earlier not that good but now it has been improved a lot, after the construction of new blocks for MBA and Law the infrastructure has improved a lot. Classroom has the capacity of the 60 students per room and some of the rooms are bigger like a hall. In Academic facilities MSI have 2 Libraries, 2 Book Bank, 1 Auditorium, some boys and girls common room and seminar halls too.

My overall campus life was quite good due to presence of good friends. The college crowd is not much interested in each other they only prefer to communicate if required. The MSI has 22 societies each focusing on unique factors of the society. College organizes 1 fest in the whole year which last long for three days, starting from AVENSIS and ending with main fest GENESIS.
