Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women Visakhapatnam Campus Life and Extracurricular Activities

I am from Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women. I’ve experienced both ups and downs in this institute. It gave me the life which every student needs. I’ve learned a lot from my institute and through our faculty. The main factor for choosing this institute is placements. If we put our efforts then definitely we will be placed in the best companies. Faculty teaches you to be strong and face the real life challenges.

I've chosen B.Tech IT (Information Technology) course in our institution. For our developing country, software is playing a crucial role. The IT department is completely related to innovative thinking, this made me to select this course. The students who got good rank, they can get entry through the counseling in EAPSCET entrance exam. And students can join through management quota without fee reimbursement. You need to visit the institute and submit some documents asked by the management. We will be having 2 semesters yearly, for each semester there will be two mid exams, one internal lab exam and one external lab exam. Weekly tests will also be conducted. The hard work and dedication from the academics taught me to never give up in real life.

For management quota, the Tuition fee is Rs. 75000 per semester. Admission and registration fee is Rs.11450. students who are provided with JVD scholarship are not required to pay the tuition fee. They need to pay admission and registration fee of Rs. 11450.

The faculty from the department Information Technology is very friendly They are very talented and experienced faculty. They'll take out the hidden talents from you. The professors and assistant professors are very active. They'll make you to feel as it is your own home. They will use both blackboard and ppt for teaching. The problem solving abilities of faculty was very innovative. 1:30 was the ratio of teacher-students.

Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women is mainly known for placement. Yes there was a cell named as Training and Placement Cell (T&P), it controls the placements of students. Campus recruitment training classes are held in institute by T&P for placement purpose. Accenture, TCS, etc. are some of the renowned companies. Average package was 12 LPA and the highest package was 44 LPA.

Yes, the institute offers hostel facilities to the students. There are 480 rooms in the hostels. Yes, the girls and boys hostels are separated. It provides completely hygienic and high quality food to the students. The hostel fee is Rs. 90,000 per year. It was an excellent experience of staying in the hostel.

It consists two blocks. Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women has the campus area of 3 acres. Clean and comfortable classrooms are provided in which 70 students can be accommodated. Library named Vignana Vahini is available in the campus. Labs are good. Seminar halls and Conference hall are also provided in the campus. Canteen was available with quality food and snacks. Sports clubs are also available to encourage students other then academics. Transport facility is also made available by the institute. Our garden is my favorite place to relax. Medical facilities were also available in the institute.

My overall campus life was very great at Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women. 4000 students are studying in our institute. Yes, there were so many clubs. Our department was offering clubs like Aashritha Club, Go Green Club, Techritz Club, etc. So many extracurricular activities are being organized by the institute. Two fests are organised every year at Vignan's Institute of Engineering for Women and at least two or three events are conducted every month. The campus life is full of joy.
