DU New Delhi: Faculty of Technology Fee Structure

Being a part of the first lot of Faculty of Technology over here at DU, it is like totally a thrill till now for me. Seriously, some days I feel like I am standing on top of the world and other time I feel like what I have gotten myself into. But overall it is a great choice I made to choose this college. I opted for this University as It is a prominent University and it has been developed more in all fields.

As It is Delhi University, so it is known for its academics and they really do not disappoint on this side of things. The Computer Science department is not a joke itself. I find that sometimes there is so much of theory and sometimes it is not. This is what you will realize here that in whichever way but you get to learn new things and acquire new skills. To be fair some professors are beginning to get a hint and are giving more practical assignments which give me a really big relief too.

Look fee Structure is simple here. Here you have to Submit Fees of a whole year at a single time being which is around 2.25 lakh rupees and as it is Delhi University it offers fee compensation to every section of society who are not financially independent enough. So, the compensation starts from 10% to 90% which varies according to the Delhi University Guidelines.

The Faculty members here are really good. Overall each one of them are highly educated and are really well in teaching us by giving us more practical knowledge rather than giving full theoretical knowledge. I find this really good side of our college. We even have teachers like Dr. HC Taneja, who is renowned mathematics author who has written various bunch of Engineering Mathematics Books and he teaches Math as our professor. By this you can get an idea that there are really good experienced teachers in our college and We feel really good by studying with them.

As I mentioned we are almost 2 year old college so there are 2 more years to get our first placement batch hired. This is indeed our batch but if I give a brief overview this college is going to get some really renowned multinational companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman - Sachs, JP Morgan, etc. This is because of Tag of Delhi University and as it is our first batch so to set a good benchmark we as students will also try our best to get the best college placement as possible.

Okay, talking about the hostel review, it is still under construction. Actually hostel is a problem of whole Delhi University. This is because this college has first time started the course B.Tech so it required a separate hostel and campus. As of now the hostel is under construction.

It is quite an interesting place to share, the science campus. The labs are good and one of the most costliest labs. The Science Library is really great and has a really good facility of computers in it for B.Tech students especially. We have separate floor for every year students so that it can be a easy for faculty to navigate to every year classes. I will rate the Infrastructure as 3/5 because it should expand more because more students are coming here in the coming years. It would be difficult to accumulate these many students at a time but till now my college has stand on my expectations regarding the infrastructure.

So overall campus life is an average experience according to me because we cannot stay within the campus after 8 pm. Our campus is filled with lush green campus consisting of 2 great gardens where students can chill and relax. It has 2 canteens facilities where we can find some good and affordable food for students. College crowed is overall great as you know we are engineering students so they are always ready so chill and are friendly by nature and studious at the same time. Yeah, There are 3-4 clubs which have started recently by us only. I am the president of Music Club in our college where we do some great music and in upcoming years we will grow more. Regarding activities Hackathons are important activity for us. In every summer and winter we have Hackathons arranged within the college and this is the most exciting part. Fests are not arranged there because of less number of students but surely in coming years we are planning to start some really good fests and annual events. For now there is mixed emotions regarding the campus life of my college. It is good at some point and sometimes it’s not. So overall it is a really great experience.
