This is a good college for one who wants to study with great faculty who are great at their job. They are excellent educators. But it Lacks in some aspects like no campus life, Poor sports facility and extracurricular activities. Factors that are good - it has great Connectivity to the city center. It is just 4 km from Chennai Airport and walking distance from local railway station and bus stand. It has good patient flow which means you get more first-hand experience of dealing with them. It is one of the better colleges in Chennai with a good patient flow and faculty.

I have chosen the MBBS course as it was my childhood dream to become a doctor. Eligibility criteria - Normal Cutoff is 30-40 marks above the qualifying marks in NEET Exam. Admission - As it is a deemed college, one needs to get allotted a seat by UG Medical Counseling by NTA. Frequency of Exam - There are 4 Internal Assessment exams and Many Formative Assessment in between. But the Main criteria for admission in the University are its Exam or Final exam. The academics does prepare one for the real life challenges by giving 1st hand experience by posting students in the medical case studies and helping us understand medical ethics and procedure.

Fees - 27 Lakh for 4.5 years. No concession for any reserved category. 50 Thousand of Security deposit and 40 Thousand in registration and admission fees.

The faulty members are very knowledgeable and wise in their respective subjects and majority of them are doctors. Most of the teaching staff in lectures uses PPTs, anatomy practical are more like group discussion. The faculty are great communicators and are helpful when approached. They help in any academics problems and non academics problems related to college. Teacher student ratio is 1:35. Many faculty members are very approachable and good at problem solving.

There is no placement in any medical college in India and if you want to get a job, the salary given is really low which ranges for 40,000 to 60,000 whereas after doing a post graduate degree you can be paid handsomely.

Yes, the college offers residential facilities. The old hostel has more than 100 rooms. There are non recreation activities. The boys and girls have separate hostels but there is a newly air conditioned hostel which is for both girls and boys but there is partition between the two half. Old mess food Quality is okay but it is very good in taste. The new mess according to some close is much better in taste as well as hygienic. Old hostel fee is 75 thousands, old mess – 3,900-4,500. New hostel fess 2.5 lakhs, new mess - 10 thousand. Hostel timings for boys out-time- 6am and the in-time is -9.30 pm. In time for girls is 5.30 pm and I have no idea about out time.

Campus is relatively smaller is size with multiple other colleges, a school, hotel and Hospital different from the college Hospital. The locality is good with local shops, restaurant and shopping marts close by. The classes are big and spacious with a capacity of 280 to 300 students. This is easy to accommodate the normal batch of our college which is 250 in number. There is one library which has most of the books, 2 seminar halls, one in college block and one in Hospital block and every department has their own separate labs. There is one canteen that serves local South Indian food and it maintains good quality of food. Sports facility is below average. These are very low in number so there is always some waiting.

College crowd is good. Most of the students are very friendly. As being non-local student, there is little to no discrimination. There is no exact campus life at the college but the academics are superb.
