Review about TNNLU

Overall Rating
TNNLU has been developing at a quick speed. It is a comparatively a new NLU which was started in 2013 but has been constantly evolving and has come at par with the other NLUs. The campus is quite vast and gives a good living experience. Language is definitely not a barrier to study here for other state students. Could be preferred without dilemma. Overall it has been pretty good for me.
 

Academics Rating
There are both BA.LL.B Hons and B.Com.LL.B Hons to choose from. The academics is quite rigorous with 2 slots of research projects per semester and along with mid semester and end semester exams. The entry is only through CLAT. Internship is to be done for a period of 4 weeks at-least once every year. Moot courts and ADR competitions are also given importance. I think that the internships every year at different places does play a major role in preparing us for real life challenges.
The yearly fee for LL.B Hons was nearly 3 lakhs which includes hostel, tuition and other charges. The Tamil Nadu government provides financial aid to government school students who have cleared CLAT. The complete fee is made by the government.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are quite good and take time to connect with the students and also provide extra guidance for those who need it. Many professors have a Ph.D in the subject they handle and have many years of experience. There is a faculty especially for guiding students with their research projects. The faculties here encourage students to explore and learn rather than just providing the information. All the faculties are very approachable.
 

Placement Rating
There is an Internship and Placement cell that consists of a group of students and a few faculties. This cell aims in facilitating smooth Internship for the students and it does a pretty good job with the placements too.
 

Hostel Rating
This is a residential University and the hostel is quite decent. They are kept clean. The food provided is also decent. The menu includes both north and south Indian dishes. The hostel is separate for boys and girls. The hostel gate closes at 9.50 pm. They don't have AC rooms, a single gym room with AC is used for sleeping during summer, which is allotted based on first come first serve every semester. Personal air coolers are allowed. Wardens and staffs are quite considerate of the students and they have a psychologist to help students deal with Personal and academic stuffs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quite small with an academic block, a UG and PG block, a library, an auditorium. There are separate girls and boys hostel. They do have volleyball, football ground and a basketball court. But they are not really in a very good condition. The location of the campus does not add up to its pros, as it is situated at the outskirts of Trichy and takes minimum of 30 minutes to reach the main city. Library has a good collection of books and compliments the course.
 

Campus Rating
They overall campus life is amazing. The college has a maximum of 700 students including both UG and PG students. There are both clubs and committees some of them are photography club, eco club, music club, dance club, MCC, ADRC, Legal aid, etc. Most festivals are celebrated with special lunch events and DJ night. And as for me it has been amazing, the academics are quite tiring but at the end it's worth it.

    Tamil Nadu National Law University is located in Trichy. It falls under mid level NLU which is not very old. It offers UG, PG, and Ph.D programs. The most important part about the university is the academics. It supports the students in every way possible extending from mentorship programs, workshops to placement guidance.     Tamil Nadu National Law University is decent and filled with opportunities. I took this University as soon as I got it, and it is the ideal option instead of choosing a private law college because the National Law University tag is the cherry on the cake. You will realize its value when you go to internships, where you will be at little leverage on gaining knowledge building bonds, and starting a conversation with your co-intern who is also from NLU.     Overall, TNNLU is a great place where you can find diverse people from various parts of India. You'll find various people with varying opinion and ideas, which will be helpful. We don't have dress code. We have decent sports amenities, we’ll be taken to sports fest in other collages, and our college will have sports fest of its own.     TNNLU, Trichy was established in 2012. It is in the stage of developing as an emerging top NLU's. It didn't have a good location as it is on the outskirts of Trichy. But, the faculty members here are supportive and so dedicated to law. The barrier is a problem if you belong to the northern part of India.
