OIST Bhopal Dangles Hopes

Overall Rating
From academics to infrastructure, I don't see any melt down, as facilities in just one and a half year that I have spent here have only gotten better. Therefore, instead of saying that this could be better or die, we match our peers and the others I would rather be happy saying that whatever Oriental Institute of Science and Technology has is best.
 

Academics Rating
CS DS is one such course that is hardly offered as DS is mostly combined with AI but here is it combines with CSE. Therefore, for the ones who don't want a core CSE but want to have DS as their electives, I think this course is the answer to all. Academic wise, yes there are some disappointments to pack in our bags, as exams are rescheduled sometimes and even internal markings are too strict. I hope, it can be improved in the future.
Rs. 63500, I mean not exact but this is the round figure in fee that we have to pay yearly. The fee is paid semester wise so one can divide it in two halves and that's what is been paid by us.
 

Faculty Rating
From my point of view about the faculties, I have many honorable mentions as I have had camaraderie with them, which is better than my classmates are. Therefore, faculties of our institute have adapted to stay friends with us and even during lectures passing jokes and making the classes funny have become a new normal.
 

Placement Rating
As the placement season, which is in October every year, a new drama unfolds. In a good way though as more and more companies have started accessing our campus for recruitment. The average placements graph which was stagnant at around 4-5 LPA has gone up marginally. Therefore, I hope this trend continues so that when our turn comes, the average placements are at least the figure touches a 7 LPA figure mark.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Oriental Institute of Science and Technology isn’t that big to be honest but it is located in central Bhopal so accessibility is a huge plus. In addition, our institute has special workshop rooms and even labs are built in accordance that matches our studies. Sports wise, an entire circle with as many facilities that one can ask for are available and no discrimination is made that girls can't have access or certain students can't have access. All the facilities offered by our institute are equal for all and are too class.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus life is overjoyed, as students here are free. By free, I mean absolutely free and you have a society meeting, just give a prior intimation and your attendance will be marked. Likewise, students playing sports too get attendance advantage. Therefore, as it turns out we get many opportunities to do a lot more beyond studies and have time and moments to make memories while we are in institute.

    The campus of college is not such big but it is of average size. The experience in the Institute till now is just ok. We have to hustle for 75% attendance in the college and write many assignments on daily basis.     Overall this institute is not for someone who has an expectation of all fun and enjoyment in college, you can get good academics and opportunities, but they are really strict with their curriculum and management. This institute is well reputed in our city that is Bhopal and is also well recognised among some major companies.   • Placement Opportunities at OIST Bhopal

    Engineering to me was purely because of my elder brother who finished his engineering and made me feel that this is the only course which has some scopes. I had some doubts and concerns but thanks to Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal as all those vanished in just a month. If one thinks engineering is boring then I would recommend them our institute as we have more fun than studies. So well balanced academics here that one has liberty to do all that he/she wants....
