FORE School of Management PGDM Review By Mahendra Choudhary

FORE School of Management New Delhi is expensive but students will get enough purchase from here because there’s so much to learn here. One will have no choice but to keep moving around because presentations and PPTs were the biggest part of our course and they never ended. The quick they started the early they finished was the mantra here. We got enough breaks before the exams as we all were mentally tired and needed a break before the exams. So, one can see the evil eye of the college but should also appreciate the efforts that they made for us. The college put us in a position where we just had to be ourselves and the placements are ours. So, no spot of bother there as getting here was tough, surviving here was even tougher but the end result was in our favor. It was a hi Haka all around because chaos was a part of our curriculum it seems. So, Fore was a piece of delight and sub flex that the management and the faculties have there is magnificent.

Brilliant academics as I was really impressed with the curriculum. The topics, the case studies and the subjects that we studied were amazing as I though BBA is a cry child of MBA or PGDM but it’s not. At least at JLU University it wasn’t. Academics are something that students hammer themselves but here it wasn’t an option as students with over two backs had to sit home for a year. So, this strict rule ensured that everybody will be on their toes to get at least the passing marks. The academic process here was aggressive but students were seen committed to the process and that was more than what I could ask for. FORE has got the ingredients or the tools to become one of the best B-Schools academically at least. As Sydney Sheldon has said if you have good money rest other things take care of itself likewise if you take care of your academics at FORE then placements will take care of itself.

Faculties were an incredible bunch of people and I used to call them sweetie pie as faculties were indeed sweeter than a pie. They have got all their plans working for us. It was just a matter of sticking to their plans for the students and things will go through or rather sail through. In B-Schools fortune too plays a role and faculties therefore created an environment where we all enjoyed each other’s company, each other’s success. Not just the birthday cakes but we also cut the placement party cakes together. All this happened because of the efforts made by the faculties.

Fore Placements happened on a large scale because the strength was a little heavy but still 8 out of 10 were placed through campus and rest were assisted for off-campus placements. Many top companies started coming as soon as we ended the final semester and just when we were in the middle of the semester most of us had our placement or the offer letters ready. The average package of our batch was around 8-9 lakhs. So, the placements were great and really feel pity for the petty number of students who were not placed.

FORE School of Management hostel was not inside the campus and it was a bit strange to me. The hostel was named Rajhans and it was a combined hostel both for boys and girls. Well, the rooms weren’t on the same floor as the girls were on first two floors and then a common floor which had many facilities that were shared by both boys and girls and then the floors above that were for boys. We also had a party room, I mean it wasn’t a party room we made it one and used to play cards all night there.

After going to a university that had a 200-acre campus to coming to a campus that didn’t even had 2% area of that was a bit strange. The facilities though were matched or rather were better here as there was just one auditorium but still one of the best that I have seen thus far. The canteen was small but the menu wasn’t. I don’t know how they managed but they did. So, from classes to computer labs, everything about the campus was amazing.

Well, if one thinks that management students are boring then they should come to FORE’s annual event Genesis. Students dancing to singing, a lot of hidden talent of the students came out during the fest. It wasn’t just the only fest as events were a part of our curriculum but at campus and at the hostel, I had a blast. I seriously wonder that were those the best days of my life?
