Fee Structure and Scholarships at DJSCE Mumbai

It has been 5-6 months since I started studying B.E in this college and so far, everything is going well. The location of the college is one of the reasons behind choosing this college, located in the middle of Mumbai. The college is located in a posh area i.e., Juhu. With the college's identity card, you will get an access to 3-4 other colleges as well which comes under the same trust as DJ Sanghvi; this makes it unique from other colleges.

I am pursuing B.E in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) from this college and I chose this branch because I want to be a Data Scientist. You must be 12th pass and should have a valid MHT CET rank or JEE rank to be eligible for admission. Admissions are done through CAP rounds conducted by CET Cell of Maharashtra. In this course you will have 2 term tests and one end semester exam in one semester. While preparing for exam you have to undergo lots of pressure and anxiety which makes you mentally strong.

The total fee for one year is around Rs. 2, 21, 000 out of which around Rs. 29, 000 is development fees and the remaining is tuition fees. There is no admission or registration fee. Fees for students belonging to the reserved categories are different and you can check it out on college's website. As far as I remember, it is there is a 50% relaxation in fee for OBC students. There is one scheme in which you get 100% tuition fess waived, so you just have to pay 29000 rupees for the whole year.

Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders and they teach really well. Some teachers teach using PPTs, some use their own written books to teach, and some use a reference book. All classes are conducted on smart board only. Some teachers are approachable. Some teachers are really understanding & even if you are not from their batch, they will solve all your doubts. Staff members are good as they help you in finding your lost materials.

Yes, there is a functional Placement Cell in DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering. It organizes various workshops and events for students to make them industry ready and also approach recruiters through various platforms. Morgan Stanley, Edelweiss, ICICI Lombard, and many other renowned companies visit the campus to hire the competent students. The median CTC is around 8-9 LPA whereas highest is 32 LPA.

There is no hostel facility available in the college, but you can easily find hostels in nearby areas.

The college is located in Juhu. It has one building where all the classes for all branches are conducted. There are two departments in 1 floor each. The classrooms have centralized air conditioners along with smart board. The sitting capacity of one class is 60-70 students. There is a well-stocked library on the first floor. Library is also fully air conditioned. Library has PCs for students and almost every book that one student needs is available here. There is fully air-conditioned canteen and gym as well. My favorite place in the campus is canteen. Sports facilities are provided in the college, but you can go to the college which is just behind DJ Sanghvi to play various sports, and you will get entry without any problem.

Campus life is good. Even though we have a small campus, we are free to roam around. The college crowd is mostly Guajarati because it is a minority college, and the crowd is good. Seniors conduct various events throughout the year. The name of annual fest is Trinity, and it is conducted every year in the month of February or March. Till now my experience has been good and hoping that I will spend my remaining time in this college learning new things and making memories with friends.
