ITER SOA Bhubaneswar for Your B.Tech in AI & ML

Overall, ITER Bhubaneswar is a good institute to study at. I chose it mostly because of its well-set curriculum, which match the standards of the requirements in the corporate world. The institute has more of an academic focus and ensures that the students are trained well to tackle responsibilities as corporate workers. Teachers are too good here, and the teaching methods, exams, tests, projects accessed here are immensely helpful.

I am enrolled in B.Tech CSE with a specialization in AI & ML. I personally have a keen interest in AI, which made me take up the specialization, and I am pretty much enjoying reading and working over it. The eligibility criteria to get into the institute include appearing the university entrance test SAAT and its score is considered for admissions. Some other nationally recognized exam scores like that of JEE are also considered keeping in regard some cut off. For the specialization too, one has to be among the top most ranked students in the SAAT exam as far as I know. I had a 99+ percentile score and hence I could opt for the same. The admission procedure here is not much complicated and involves just two stages: provisional and final. These two stages cover admission process, fee payments, as well as verification of documents. In B.Tech, we have 8 semesters; in each semester we have to appear a mid sem exam and an end sem exam. The curriculum demands quizzes and assignment submissions, which are done in regular intervals in class. The academics here are wonderful, and I mean it. The curriculum is also set in a way that it prepares us very well for both professional and personal lives.

The fee per semester for B.Tech varies from around 1.2 to 1.5 Lakh, depending from what branch you are enrolled in and if you've opted some specialization. I am into B.Tech CSE with specialization in AI & ML and my semester fee is about 1.45 Lakh, including the specialization charges. The institution does provide some wavier for some students with scholarships and there are facilities for educational loans too. Students are awarded with merit based scholarships for their performance provided they are eligible about the cut offs set for the same.

Most of the faculties at my institute have completed their studies from elite institutions of the country like the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and some are even research fellows at international institutions/organizations. Hence, we have some of the best faculties from across the country as professors who not only teach but also tell us how to apply the same knowledge in practical situation. As of now, all the professors who have taught me and those whom I worked on certain projects with, there's one thing common among all of them, they are all too well educated and possess very good knowledge about their subject. I have always been good at academics, however whenever I have asked doubts or found myself a concept difficult, all my teachers were forever ready to help, and they still are. Most of the professors I have been mentored by in here are genuinely kind, well read and knowledgeable in their field of study and willing to provide their students the best of opportunities that they can. In fact, it's quite obvious for one to find a teacher who inspires them forever. There has always been a sense of equality that they make sure in a classroom whether that is with being strict or amiable. I share a good bonding with all of them and I believe it is obvious with other students too. Unlike the way people wrongly pre-assume, nothing a lot dramatic happens to anyone here.

The placement scenario is quite good at ITER Bhubaneswar, mostly because of the activities conducted by the placement cell. Key activities include aptitude training and mock interviews, resume building workshops, pre placement talks, tech-training programs. The institute has an impressive placement record, attracting renowned companies from various sectors including IT, core engineering and emerging AI technologies. The recruiters list includes, Capgemini, Deloitte, Cognizant, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and many more companies.

The institute does provide hostel facilities and that'd decent. Although I am not a hostel boarder, I believe the facilities have been good enough, as I have to know from my friends. The girl’s and boy’s hostels are rightly distinguished here. The mess food is decent.

The campus has a pleasing infrastructure and we have most blocks separated by the departments of engineering. There are separate buildings for the exam cell, administrative blocks, the data science department, and even a sports complex that makes it easy to distinguish different blocks too. We also have lovely greenery in the campus and the cleanliness is totally taken care of. We have a pretty lawn, a spacious auditorium, a little garden, a cafeteria, and so much more.

Personally, it has been good for me. The crowd is really appreciable and students give good support to the events here. I prefer formal events more than institute fests and that is what happens here. This fact does not make institute life too boring since each event conducted somewhere aims productivity. There are many clubs that curate fun events, including the drama club, dance, music and art clubs, literary clubs etc. We also have volunteering wings of some schemes that promote helping towards social causes too, making institute life a good enough of an experience. Our institute hosts an annual HR conclave too, which helps students gather some experience among industry professionals. I am currently working on the role of content strategist of SOA English Cafe and am a part of some other clubs too.
