Institute of Technical Education and Research comes under SOA University which is the best university of Odisha with NIRF ranking of 14 all over India. Institute of Technical Education and Research provides more specialization in their courses with advance technology. ITER campus is large occupying more than 10 blocks excluding hostel buildings. It provides the best placements facilities and packages to the students. It mainly focuses on their academies with excellence in performances. The institute conducts many co curricular activities, club, hackathons, codex, NCC and sports events where student can participate and improve their overall skills. I would recommend you to join the institute if you want to get a good placement and excellence in your academies.

The course that I have enrolled in is B.Tech in Computer Science with specialization of Internet of Things (IoT). The eligibility to join this course is overall percentage in class 12th should be 60% and in per subject like PCM in each subject you have to score 60%. The process to join the institute is simple; you can apply through SAAT exam the entrance exam of ITER or through JEE MAINS. After the admission through online portal you have to pay the fees and wait for the call from institute.

The fee of the course at Institute of Technical Education and Research is Rs. 2, 85,000 per year. In year 2024, the fee can change according to the year when you join. There is no discount on the fees until and unless you have government scholarship or your JEE MAIN rank is above 50000. Hostel charges per year are Rs. 1, 00,000 with food and room including extra charges.

Institute of Technical Education and Research faculties are excellent and outstanding with great qualifications and a Ph.D degree. The course which I am enrolled in and its faculties are too good and very down to earth people helping students to improve their studies. ITER provides smart board in every classroom and labs where faculties use smart board to explain us the concepts and ppts are shown through it. Assignment and problem solving question are provided by faculties every week and after every unit there will be a quiz. The student-teacher ratio is good. Its 1:60 where teacher can focus on every student and try to improve them.

The placements are good in this institute the average packages are around 7 to 8 LPA and the highest packages are gone till 90LPA with excellent companies. Organisations like Wipro, Tata, Microsoft, Google, and many foreign tech companies conduct placements and provide internship opportunities to the students.

I am day scholar but I have heard that the hostel services are also decent. The facilities available in the hostel are up to the mark.

The campus would be 100 acre long with more than 7 block excluding hostels. There is A, B, C, D, E, F, and S block in our campus. A football turf, basketball court, cricket net, and a cafeteria block where there are 5 floors with 3 restaurants and one canteen are also made available for the students here. There is a beautiful campus garden with flowers and ITER batching which makes the look of ITER great. There are all facilities like medical, transport, sports in the campus. There are many seminar halls and conference halls for different branches. There is a central library block where students can hire books and study.

Campus life is excellent and huge with all the required faculties at this fees structure. Institute of Technical Education and Research crowd is too good as there are 6000 plus students of different branch studying in Institute of Technical Education and Research. There are many clubs and codex hub to join in the institute I have not yet joined any of them due to lack of time. There are many clubs above Coding, AI, Robotics, ML and Literature Clubs to improve one’s skill set and performance encouraging him to be a leader. The institute and the batchmates are excellent and very cooperative with everyone and seniors are very helpful. ITER campus is ragging free; there is no ragging in ITER campus. Overall campus life review for first year at Institute of Technical Education and Research is good.
