Fee Structure and Scholarships at CSMU, Navi Mumbai

Overall Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University is good. In rainy seasons environment becomes and looks even prettier. Direct admission is available and no exam is needed for the same. College has not provided any kind of placements or trainings till now. There is no internship trainings till now. College has every course of B.Sc., B.Tech, Pharmacy and Law. The college provides NSS membership for students of college. Fees are higher than other colleges.

I wanted to take admission in B.Tech but as I was late for admissions so I took admission in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University to not waste my 1 year. The eligibility criterion is 65 percent in 12th. They will provide a form to fill while admission. After filling all the information you need to deposit Rs. 10,000 is the minimum fee to secure a seat. Semester exams are conducted late as compared to other colleges. You can pay half fees for 1st semester examination then only you can sit in exams. In every semester you have to pay half fees. Scholarship is available for OBC, ST, SC, etc. candidates. Till now I have only learnt coding languages from college.

My fee for B.Tech IT is Rs. 1,10,000. Every year they increase fees for new students. Now the fee for new students for general B.Tech is Rs.1,40,000. The Registration fee is Rs. 10,000 which is not refundable. If you cannot pay the fees on time then there is a late fees applies that is Rs. 100 per day. I got scholarship under OBC category. By this my fees is Rs. 88,000 and every semester you need to pay Rs. 1,000 for exam form. The additional expenditure includes Rs. 100 for ID card apart from fees. The students who come from weak financial condition, they need to provide income certificate and they will get scholarship.

In every semester there are so many subjects for every subject. The teachers for all the courses are good be it B.Ed. or masters teachers. Methods of teachings include normal on white board, etc. Some of them use PPT’s, etc. Their problem solving abilities are also efficient. If we have any doubt we can ask them. Teachers help students to clear their doubts. The ratio for teacher student is 2:8. They are kind only if you are attending the classes regularly.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University is established in 2018 so till now there are no placements provided by any company. Internships are also not provided by college till now.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University provides hostels for students those who are from another city. There is one boy’s hostel and one girl’s hostel. There are 40+ hostels in whole hostel. The hostel fee is same as college fee. If your fee is Rs. 1,10,000 then hostel fees will be approximately Rs.1,10,000 and if your fee is Rs. 1,40,000 then you hostel fee is Rs. 1,40,000. The students are allowed to stay out of hostel last until 10:00pm. The food served in the mess is average.

There are two main blocks for B.Tech and B.Sc. and BCA. For Pharmacy there is another block in college. Campus is really big than other Universities. The ground is too big for sports. There are two canteens in college and both of them are all are vegetarian. Non. Veg. is not allowed in college. For sports, they provide us a sports room with different games. There is a stationary for notebooks and daily used things. Infrastructure is pretty average.

My campus life was not too good to be honest. In my 1st year there was no crowd in my college except my class and pharmacy students. After that every year crowd has been increasing. The crowd of college is pretty good. There is no club only NSS membership for students is provided. Extracurricular activities are nothing. You can only play on ground. College does not organize any kind of activities. There are only 3 fests in a year that are organized by faculty members. The events organized include freshers/farewell, traditional day, and Garba. Other than these no fests are organized in college. Overall students who don't need a good placement can take admission for degree.
