The four years of my degree went by just like that. From childhood itself, I was always a nerd and books were my favorite friends. I wanted to gain real knowledge not just to have a degree but to understand it as well. With the help of Oriental University Indore, my wish was fulfilled. The college really did help me to level up on most of the aspects and that raised a certain confidence in me. The helpful staff and faculties at the college make your time there easier with their kindness. The admission process didn't take long as it was just some paperwork and I remember how excited I was to attend a new college and stay at the hostel. College life is the best, and that too, Oriental University makes it even brighter.

The academics are pretty good at the Oriental University Indore. There are 8 semesters and each semester has an exam at the end. During each semester, there are group discussions and unit tests for deciding the internal marks of the students. The syllabus is moderate, neither tough nor easy. The exam pattern is similar to any other university. The university arranges guest lectures for students to develop creative thinking about studies. The guests who are summoned to give the lecture are experienced and knowledgeable in different fields. I found these guest lectures very helpful as they help you to know different aspects of the industry.

The faculties at The Oriental University are great and supportive. Their behavior is also nice and if any student is having problems or facing doubts in any subject, they'll help you no matter what the time. All of the faculties and HoDs are highly qualified and have deep knowledge of their subject. The teaching method of most of the teachers is really impressive and active which keeps students engaged in their teaching. They teach in a way that the knowledge is helpful in semester exams and in the industrial market as well. I was very close to some of the teachers and still in contact with them. Even now when I need some advice, I call one of them and they guide me about my decision.

The college did not provide any kind of internship, let it be paid or unpaid. Oriental University Placement cell was the worst and not one good company would visit for placement interviews. When I took admission the condition of the placement cell was bad and less than 10 students would be placed in the whole batch. That too Civil and mechanic branches had no scope in placement. It was a really hard time processing all this but eventually the college did work on this and the problem was solved. However, I wouldn't say that the Oriental University gives the best placements. The number of students getting placement is still less.

The hostel facilities provided by Oriental University Indore are quite great. The mess is also provided for students. The mess food is good actually and also in many different varieties as students from different areas and states come to Oriental University. The rooms at the hostel are big and available for double sharing or triple sharing. The hostel is on the college campus as well. It saves students the time required for transportation. Girls' hostel is separate from the boys' hostel. Oriental University hostel has strict rules for students and every student must follow it.

Orinetal University campus has an amazing infrastructure. The buildings are huge and many were under construction when I was studying there. The college also has a canteen where the food is overall average but some snacks are really good. The college campus and canteen are specifically kept hygienic, I'll give it a 10 on that. The classrooms are spacious enough and air conditioned. The practical labs are also well equipped and have a Wi-Fi facility. The hostel facility is also made available for both boys and girls by the college. The college also takes a good interest in sports. Infrastructure-wise the OUI is a 10/10.

The Oriental University organises many events, be it cultural or technical. Events like NKRC give vast exposure to your creative skills and ideas. You get to learn a lot and many new things and even ideas on how to apply bookish knowledge in real markets or industries. Different technical workshops, guest lectures and events are arranged by the college for students' well-being. Specific castes are provided with scholarships. It's just that college is a bit far from the city so to buy anything or to go to market you've to go all the way through.
