Yenepoya University Mangalore Innovative MCA with AI, ML, and DS Curriculum

Yenepoya University is one of the universities with high quality infrastructure and facilities in the town. One of the main benefits of this university is that its affordability. When comparing to other universities, the fee structure for MCA is very reasonable. However, the only drawback of the university is its campus. Although, students might not be able to have vibrant campus life, it is definitely suitable to have better and updated curriculum.

My course is MCA with AI, ML, and DS. One of my main motivations for selecting Yenepoya was that IBM company provided the specialization certificate. You should at least score a 50% mark in the graduation in order to be eligible for this program here. You can directly go to the university to take admission or through different agencies. After taking admission, there will be a counseling session and interview prior to starting classes. Main benefit is that exams are conducted regularly and results are published on time. The syllabus is reduced with very important topics and you will be able to focus on important topics rather than studying the whole.

Course fee for 2-year MCA program is 2.3 Lakh. No other extra fee is charged after that. Scholarships are provided to students based on their scores.

Most of the faculties in Computer Science are highly qualified teachers. However, there were also new joiners, but they also have good knowledge about the topic. Teaching is done on an e-board using PPTs. Few of the faculties are not much approachable while some others are too friendly. and approachable at any time.

Placement cell is average. However, they will help us finding off campus placements and will guide us.

The university offers a number of hostels. One thing, Yenepoya is famous for mess food. My friends in the hostel said that it provides a variety and quality food in the hostel. In addition, there are AC rooms for those in need.

There are 3 academic blocks in the Balmatta campus: A block, B block and C block. There are also number of labs with highly equipped number of PCs. Balmatta campus is right in the heart of Mangalore. All classrooms have AC and seating capacity may vary from 30 to 90, depending upon the class. In addition, the university canteen serves good food. Here, sweet bun is very famous.

Campus life is average. There are many clubs like dance club, NSS, etc. active in the university. There will be also events like cultural, freshers, tech fest, fashion fest, Christmas celebration, etc. The only lacked for me is the campus life but some of my friends have enjoyed very much here. May be it is my problem
