A deep dive into college

Overall Rating
My experience in this institute has been very amazing and very meaningful. I choose this college because of the curriculum and the sports facilities heard about it and would like to recommend about it to others. The teachers are very interactive with the students and help us in our every difficulty. There are many sports facilities in my college, like I am a sports person so I can play every sport.
 

Academics Rating
The course I have chosen is BE-CSE and I like this course because I am into coding and I could do much better through this university. The entry requirements are on the basis 12th class boards and JEE Mains percentile. The exams at Chitkara University happen after every month, like we have 2-3 ST's and then the end term examination. The college prepares us in a decent manner for the real-life challenges.
The fee structure for my chosen course which is BE-CSE is about Rs.2,40,000/- per year excluding the hostel fees. There is a small amount of registration fees, I don’t remember the admission fees right now. There is no special discount provided by the college, also there is no discrimination among any castes or religion during the fees.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of my chosen course are very educated and easy to understand. All the teachers here are from well educated background and help us in each and every scenario. They use every method of teaching like they use blackboards, whiteboards and PPT's to teach us very efficiently. The faculty uses real life examples to solve problems which help us a lot.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell in my college is not very effective as our internship percentage is around 90% and the placement percentage is around 50-60% , I guess but am not sure. There is a cell which trains students for real life challenges and also trains students in various aspects including interviews to get a job. There are companies like Wipro which visit the college. The average package is around Rs.3.00 to Rs.7.00 LPA and the highest package was around Rs.50.00 LPA in my college.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes our college offers residential facilities. There are around 500-1000 students in my hostel and like 16 rooms on a single floor and the building is till the 9th floor. We have table tennis tables at every odd floors of my hostel. The girls and boys hostel are separate. The mess food is very hygienic and tasty and we get it 4 times a day. The hostel fee is Rs.92,000/- per semester and the mess food is included in it. The hostel cut-off timing is 12:00 pm, we have to reach before that or we are given a penalty.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are many academic blocks and structure in my college, The campus size is slightly small as compared to the college population. The classrooms are very good and large. We have 70 students in our classroom and have AV aids available. We do have library, labs, seminar halls, auditorium, explotorium, conference hall and sports facilities in our college. We have a canteen square which contains many food stalls.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life has been very great. I explored many fields, and also came out of my comfort zone. The college crowd contains every type of student. Yes, there are many clubs and societies in my college and they conduct events and hackathons in our own college. I am a part of the ‘Tasveer’ club in my college. There are fun events conducted by my college which are the most exciting part.

    Overall experience at Chitkara University is great except the fact that hostellers have to attend classes at night time i.e. 4:10-9:30, which is very inconvenient as most of us are not used to this shift in timings, but we still manage to study and have fun regardless.
