Pursuing B.Tech from Chitkara University Patiala

Overall Rating
My overall experience at this University is great so far. It provides the best opportunities to students. I chose this University because it has great faculty and infrastructure. Other reason is that the University provides good placement opportunities to the students. I would recommend others to also take admission in this University.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. I chose this course because I have good interest in coding and computers. The eligibility criteria are that the students must have passed their class 12th boards with at least 65%. The exams are conducted in every one month. Around 5 exams are conducted in a semester. The academics prepare the students well for the exams.
The fee of my course is Rs. 1,00,000/- per semester. The students have to pay the registration fee which is around Rs. 20,000/-. The University does not provide special discount to the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers of Chitkara University are well educated. The teacher to student ratio is 1:18. The faculty members have done Ph.D in their respective field. The teaching methods include PPTs, smart boards, blackboards, etc. The problem solving abilities of the faculty is very good. They always solve the doubts of the students. My bonding with faculty members is very great and the entire teachers are always ready to help us.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is placement cell at the University. It provides good placements to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Chitkara University is very big and it has various academic blocks. It is located in the Rajpur area of Punjab. The classrooms are huge with a seating capacity around 100 students. The classrooms are equipped with smart boards, etc. The campus has 7 libraries, labs, 160 buses which provide pick up and drop facilities to the students, etc. There are 3 canteens which serves good quality of food to the students. We have a large sportorium for sports and a gym is also available.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is very great and motivating. The University has huge crowd and it belongs from different states. There are around 20 clubs and I am a part of 3 clubs. It conducts fests on regular basis such as 'Rangrezz', etc. The University also celebrates festivals such as Diwali, Holi, etc. I am enjoying my campus life.

    Overall experience at Chitkara University is great except the fact that hostellers have to attend classes at night time i.e. 4:10-9:30, which is very inconvenient as most of us are not used to this shift in timings, but we still manage to study and have fun regardless.
