If one wants to learn greed, they can join Integral University
by Kshitij Tiwari
I never knew Nepotism exists in education sector. The greediest place that I have come across is the Integral University. They are so brilliant in finding ways, to how they can charge extra fees from the students. To get your attendance sorted, or all the paperwork in terms of assignments done, you will no choice but to run around. It sometimes, even took over a month to get your problems solved. The campus is better but in terms of greed, no one can beat this university. The Integral University placements are sort of okay but still a lot depends on your attendance and grades because only 4 out of 10 were placed. However, few students were admitted to MNCs as well. Luckily because it’s a private university, no much fuss about quota or the other things. Students belonging to well to do families form the large part of crowd here and therefore one can have no complaints with that.
For all the UG courses Integral University has an entrance test of 100 MCQs. The entrance was quite simple as 90 minutes test paper results were out in few days time and students with top 100 rankings were also offered some good enough scholarships. However, if I examine the academics as a whole, it lacked and lacked big time. Unnecessary and tiring assignments and then if you fail to submit on time, it had its own repercussions. So, the state of conundrum with education was always there. If there’s one thing that I can sum up education of here than that would be worrisome. I always wanted to be an engineer all my life, but after studying from here, I had to change my subject because I lost all hope and faith in engineering.
I talked about Nepotism and the reason why I have talked about it because some of the faculties were hired as they were friends, relatives, or whatever of the top brass of the university. Some of the qualified teachers were hired too but still in all fairness the overall review of faculty would be poor. I am not one to keep secrets so coming from a family of doctors, I would say that faculties of Integral University are suffering from some form of back spasms and as they say it doesn’t last long, I hope it get over soon because without qualified faculties, students can never fall in love with their subjects.
For a university which is over 20 years old, the placements are still not sorted means they haven’t done the most things right. Only 40% placements for B.Tech students can never be justified. The training and internships were provided but they hardly counted for anything because even after sincere performance at the internships and at the training, if one can’t find job for themselves means there were poor. Some of the companies that visited the campus include the likes of TCS, Wipro, Mindtree, Polaris, and others. On and average students were offered around 3-4 Lakhs of packages.
There are 6 boys and 4 girl’s hostels at the university and I may have had complaints about the faculties or the placements but with hostels no complaints. All the four years, I only had one regret with the university and that was that I couldn’t be a part of the hostel because I know the fun that they had at the hostels. The food part was worrisome as per some and some were happy, so it had mixed reviews but the quality of the hostel and the kind of hostel life that my friends who stayed their lived were commendable.
Integral University campus was huge or rather the best in terms of landscapes and technology. The infrastructure is great, it’s amazing but I didn’t like the travelling at the campus because the auditorium was at one end, our admin block at the other, the library somewhere in the middle. The food at the canteen, the party at the amphitheatre, the people at the campus apart from students who took care of security were just amazing. Even the weather at the campus is amazing as there is a lot of greenery inside the campus and lastly the playgrounds as they were great too. So, in short everything about the infrastructure of the university is just amazing.
The university boasts a lot of events and one of those were the feast events. Unfortunately, because I am a vegetarian, I struggled with that as most feasts’ events served non-veg food. However, the after party was amazing as one will not find such parties elsewhere in Lucknow. The city now boasts a lot of pubs and clubs but the club house of the campus was where the real parties happened and that made at least my campus life quite amazing for sure.
As long as you don’t compare this college with colleges of metro cities the college is great. After spending 4 years away from my home and shedding 9-10 kgs was enough for my parents to call me back home. I was not sure about colleges in Lucknow and then one day saw an advertisement of Integral University and did all my research. The University is good and MNC’s have started coming to Lucknow and Integral should be thanked for that. Placements were my criteria and Integral Uni has its bases ... Read Full Review
I wish I was a storyteller because I will have to say that Integral University was not worth ribbons and pearls that it showed. Hailing from the land of Lucknow which has many prestigious institutes including the IIM Lucknow, I wish I chose some other institute because I was manifested with myself for choosing Integral University. Poor me but let it be as I don’t think it was a justice of any kind to students. Integral University boast one of the best infrastructures but lack academic acumen a... Read Full Review
