IGDTUW Delhi is a Top Choice for Women in Engineering

IGDTUW is an all women's university. It is a decent university which accepts B.Tech students through JAC Delhi based on their JEE Mains score. IGDTUW has a good placement rate and the campus is Decent too. Although many improvements are needed. Many teachers are good at teaching their respective subjects. The faculty is fine too. The infrastructure needs improvement but it is decent too. University life here will feel less burdened time to time by its fest. IGDTUW has a number of societies to choose from there are lots of tech societies and societies associated with extracurricular activities like dance, music, sports, debates / literary, art, dramatics & martial arts society, etc. These societies also conduct hackathons and many different events and workshops throughout the year. So life will be both about studies and events at IGDTUW.

B.Tech student at IGDTUW have 8 semesters. In each semester students are given 6 subjects. A choice in 1 subject is given to students in each semester. Different branches have different syllabus which is provided at the start of the semester. All of the credits distribution and marks distribution is told beforehand. Then there is a mid semester exam of 40 marks and an end semester exam of 60 marks is conducted each semester. The mid sem marks are than given out of 15 by rounding off and 25 internal marks are given based on practical, etc.

The fee structure is good here. Out of every other JAC Delhi university the fee is pretty decent for B.Tech students, which is around Rs. 1, 50,000.

The faculty is good at IGDTUW. Many teachers are good at teaching their respective subjects and many are not. The teacher student relations are good too. Also IGDTUW provides a mentor to its students each class gets their own mentor with whom the students can share their problems and worries be it personal or related to academics. The faculty helps resolve any problems the student is facing to an extent but bot completely.

The placements are decent at IGDTUW with an average of around 20 to 26 lakh per annum. Placements cells are present at IGDTUW. The highest package went to 1 crore in 2024. Many renowned companies visit the campus. Campus placement is highly likely with a 90-95% chance of getting placed through campus.

The infrastructure needs improvement to a great extent. There are shared academic buildings for 2 branches and at times there is felt a shortage of enough rooms. Academic blocks have spacious classes but many don’t have any ventilation. The Air conditioners were installed after rapid applications and demands from students. The campus size is around 50 acres. There is a basket ball court, a badminton court, a huge lawn or garden, auditorium, gym area, and labs have decent conditions with all the equipments needed. There is a canteen that is very much not impressive. Libraries and E-library is also provided. Overall, it is decent but huge improvement is required in the university.

The campus life will be happening because there are a number of events that happens throughout the year. There is also a hefty amount of tech and extracurricular activities based societies to join. These societies keep having small events, workshops and also hackathons throughout the year. The fest of IGDTUW like the infamous annual fest "TARANGANA" , "JHILMIL" the Diwali fest ,"AAROHAN" The literary fest, sports fest and tech fest, etc. are also conducted throughout the year. There are extra-curricular activities based societies like dance society "HYPNOTICS", music society "TARANNUM", dramatics society "RAHNUMA", literary society, art society, sports society, martial arts society, etc.
