Integral University B.Tech Review By Shivam Arora

I wish I was a storyteller because I will have to say that Integral University was not worth ribbons and pearls that it showed. Hailing from the land of Lucknow which has many prestigious institutes including the IIM Lucknow, I wish I chose some other institute because I was manifested with myself for choosing Integral University. Poor me but let it be as I don’t think it was a justice of any kind to students. Integral University boast one of the best infrastructures but lack academic acumen as it doesn’t provide students with enough on that front. Lucky that attendance was mandatory but there were ways to get over them to try for competitive exams and reach one of the best institutes as Integral University hardly has anything to offer. The coding club don’t understand why it existed at the university when it was just for leg pulling which I felt was quite wrong as they can be called anything but a nerd. The university management too was bewildering or intimidating rather because life didn’t go the way it should and if one feels that education can get their money right then Integral University is not going to do any such wonders.

Academics were beyond me for sure because attendance was made mandatory as there was a huge fine laid for the ones who didn’t oblige with that. Trust me but that was the only motto behind it. The classes were anything productive even with the best-in-class infrastructure. For all those who think that good infrastructure can pave way to good academics or placements then they should definitely read my review. The policies that followed academics were beyond me as we had more holidays than the classes and still, we were punished for not having done with the course on time.

Talking about the degrees they had I don’t think I will have words because they were just too good but it seemed like that the university policies consumed them more than anything. Again, what can one say that good doesn’t attract good but bad does with ease as because the faculties didn’t groom the students as they were supposed to be. They had a little to offer and even though some of them were honest with their job. Not on most cases though because life was a circle that didn’t ended at them and their ways of passing on things didn’t go well with me at least.

Integral University Placements again were poor because even though Infosys has laid a nice program to train us, they didn’t hire the number of students that they should. Many other IT companies like TCS, Mindtree, and others too joined hands but again offered too little too late because not even half the students were placed while the university website shows other story. The truth is what I saw is that students did have 30-40k job offers but again as I said very few had that privilege. So, placements were not the hall mark to gauge the university because they were below par.

The hostels of the university were great because as they say we live in a crazy world of choices and the choices were ample at least when it came to hostels. 6 boy’s hostels and variety of rooms to choose from like from single seater AC rooms to sharing AC rooms to sharing non-ac rooms, there were wide range of choices. I wish I had idea about girl’s hostels but since I don’t, I don’t think I should be commenting on them but there were 3-4 girl’s hostels is all that I know.

Academics plan maybe poor but certainly not the infrastructure plan because it was planned by definitely taking a lot of expert advices. Trust me, it was so well organized and engineering department certainly being the best of them all. I think I should start with the sporting facilities first because it was the cricket ground that was the best of them all. Annual cricket tournament of the university is hailed by the UP government as they come for the finals and distribute the prizes. Auditorium was just wow as it brought out the wow factor. Talking about the wow factor I will have to think of things that brought many wow things out as infrastructure in absolute terms was just wow.

For students who feel like that UG life is perhaps for fun then probably they are right as IU in that regard is without an iota of doubt is the best. Call it doing fun with the clubs even the clubs that were meant for extracting some learning were meant for fun because no learning happened there. The events were Page 3 styled and sporting events as I have already mentioned were no short of being called the best in class.
