MIET Meerut Hostel Accommodation, Fees, and Rules

The overall experience in this Institute is very good as our Institute is more focused on studies so this is best. I chose this Institute because it is near to my hometown. As per the placements offered it comes number one in Meerut. There is nothing here which is different from others Institutes but there is an advantage which is that the students have the freedom to enter in the Institute at any time.

The course chosen by me at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology as I know the future prospects in the computer are so vast and also my elder brother is in same course. The eligibility criteria are more than 65% in 12th class and also you may get admission through JEE exam. There are two types of entry requirements that are Direct admission process and counseling process. There are so many exams in this course per semester. There are 2 sectional, 1 special test series and 1 PUT (Pre University Test). There is a subject in every semester is based on English communication skills. This helps us in preparing for real life challenges.

Year wise fee at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology is Rs. 1, 25,000 which is very much affordable for everyone and additional Rs. 7,500 for AKTU registration. Other charges are Rs. 400-500 for the notes which is optional. There is no scholarship and discount in the fee but some seats are reserved for SC, ST and Muslim students through JEE and UPTech.

The faculties here at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology are too good and very much friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable and most of them have qualified masters and some are Ph.D holders from IIT. There are around 6-7 faculties for each subject in our department. They try their best for solving the problem of students. Their teaching method is so good and most of the teachers teach us through blackboard and PPT’s. Our Physics teacher is my favorite, her name is Mrs. Radhika Chauhan ma'am.

The placement cell in Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology is located in Raman block, it helps students in placements as well as Internships programs. It provides information about all companies. Now I am in 1st year so I have no more knowledge about the activities and programs conducted by placement cell. The companies like IBM, TCS, Wipro, MICROSOFT and Infosys offer position for data analyst, software engineer and web developer. The highest package offered is about 12-16 lakh per annum and average is 4-5 lakh per annum.

I don’t have much information about hostels because my house is near Institute. But, I know that Girls and boys hostels are separate with much distance. As my friend recommended that the mess food is hygienic but taste is not so good so I didn’t opt for hostel. Hostel fee annually is Rs. 48,000. There is no rules except 2, boys are allowed in girls hostel and vice versa and other is the Timing for evening which is last 9 pm.

Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology’s campus blocks are good and our Institute is located in urban area. The Mars resort is best place outside the Institute for enjoying with friends. The classroom seating capacity is about 60-65 students. The library is very helpful to gather and enhance knowledge about something different form our Course. Labs are in good condition and well maintained. There are more than 10 seminar halls in our Institute with auditorium. Institute’s canteen as well as a franchise Dhosaka is very popular for South Indian food and also Snap Chaat Bhandar is in our Institute. Overall experience is good.

My overall campus life at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology is good but 1 thing that is not good is that our annual fest, Kolaahal was cancelled by Institute in 2024 also no fresher’s party was provided by Institute. Except this everything is good. The Institute crowd is good and about 1800 students take admission in the Institute per year. There are very less extracurricular activities in this Institute as it is more focused on studies and not sports. My experience is good.
