The college follows the syllabus of University of Calcutta. Overall, the academic performance of the students is good. The eligibility criteria of this college isn’t too high like other renowned institution because you can get admission here with decent grades.

Fees structure varies depending on the chosen specialization. Undergraduate programs like B.Com, B.A and B.Sc have relatively affordable fees. However, the fee structure of BBA, BCA, and PG degrees can be higher.

The faculties are the best because they are genuinely supportive, kind-hearted, and helpful. The always greet students with a smile. They actually care about students and try to solve their problems whether it is an academic or general issue. The professors are neither extremely strict nor extremely lenient in regards to studies. They explain everything in an elaborate manner with a focus on core subjects. During, lectures they use real life examples to ensure that students understand in various concepts effectively. Their mode of teaching is usually blackboards but they sometimes use PPTs to teach complicated concepts with examples.

BESC’s Placement Cell does a great job of connecting students with career opportunities. A large number of companies visit on campus placement drives at the college to offer internships and job opportunities. Placement drives are conducted every semester to which increases students’ likelihood of securing employment. The Placement Cell organises master classes with industry experts to explain how the corporate world functions in detail and make students industry ready. Moreover, it also provides guidance to students about resume building, interview preparation, and career pathway.

The college does not provide any hostel facilities but there are a lot of PGs around the campus. Many of the students stay in these PGs because they are within their budget.

BESC Kolkata has a big campus. It has a sports arena where you can play all kinds of indoor and outdoor games. On the 6th floor we have a well-equipped library along with the Dean’s office. We have a society hall where master classes with industry experts are conducted. The college canteen offers delicious foods to the students.

Campus life here is amazing. We have different kind of clubs like singing, dancing, entrepreneurship, etc. Amazing workshops are also organised such as ‘DHAMAAL’ which was conducted on the occasion on Garba. We have our yearly inter-college festival called ‘UMANG’ and trust me you don’t want to miss it out. Many famous artists are invited to fest and we have a lot of fun.
