My College Life

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College is good because of my friends and this college is best as the placements. I chose this college as it offers better future opportunities along with college distance being less from my home. There is no difference in this Institute as compared to others. This is just normal Institute. It is located at Pollachi main area.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College because my plan was to join the B.SC computer science courses but that departments admission were over so I opted for BCA course. I got admitted to the University in 2023. The eligibility for this college is that the students have more than 50% marks in 12th standard. The admission process is simple. The students give their 10th,11th,12th mark sheet and TC and pay the admission fee that is Rs. 10,000. The college conducts three exams per semester. This is an autonomous college so exams are easy and most of the students pass their exams.
I paid Rs. 52,000 as tuition fees in first year and for second year I paid my tuition fee Rs. 54,000. For third year I paid Rs. 56,000. The admission fee was Rs. 10,000 and I paid Rs. 2,140 in first year for exam fees. I paid Rs. 2,600 in second year as exam fees then for third year I will pay Rs. 2,800 as exam fees. The scholarships are provided to SC, ST students. They easily get aided courses whose fee is Rs. 18,000.
 

Faculty Rating
In my department we have 14 faculties and few lab assistants. Most of the faculty's qualification is Ph.D and balance faculties have done master degrees. The student faculty bonding is good. The teaching method used by them is good. On a weekly basis the faculty members once use PPT and in some classes they used projectors. Most of the faculties are easy to approach and all faculties are knowledgeable. Faculties problem solving abilities is good.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College are good in this college. About 90% of the students are placed in the college campus and most of the companies that have visited our college campus are TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO, ACCENTURE, FLIPKART, AMAZON, BYJUS, etc. The average package of this college campus was 2.5 LPA and maximum package was 10 LPA. I am not placed yet by the college campus interview because I am a second year and the students of third year are able to attend the interview so I will get placed next year.
 

Hostel Rating
Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College has a hostel facility for both men and women with separate hostel. I am day scholar so I don't know much about the hostel rooms and the hostel food. The hostel fee per year was Rs. 50,000.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College campus and infrastructure is good. The college campus size is approximately 5 acres. The classroom seating was good and It can accommodate approximately 60 students. The library facility and lab facility are also good. Sports and extracurricular activities in the campus are below average. The college facilitates the students with medical facility and security but it doesn’t provide transport facility. My favorite part of this college is college ground. My department infrastructure is0 also good. The college conducts two festivals that are PONGAL celebrations and ONAM celebration.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is good. The college crowd is above average and many of the clubs in this college are ROTRACT club. I am also a member of the ROTRACT club. The engagement activities are very low in this college and sports are also very low in this college. The college conducts only few festivals like PONGAL celebration and ONAM celebration. My experience of this college campus life was good.
