NGMC Coimbatore's 25 Acre Campus: Blocks, Hostels & More

NGMC Coimbatore gave me unforgettable memories, true friendships, and valuable knowledge. Studying BCA here shaped my journey in the best way possible. I choose this college because of the quality of education with fewer fees, and this college is near to me and all facilities are there. This is the only college in my area which is got A++ in NAAC and that the main thing. My college offers many facilities, which is very impressive.

The course chosen by me is BCA. I am from arts background so many colleges refused to give me a seat in BCA, but in NGMC Coimbatore, they gave me a chance. For entry requirements/ eligibility, good marks in all subjects are required. Admission process asks for your 10th and 12th certificate, 12th TC, aadhar card Xerox and 3 passport size photos. For BCA, they conduct 2 model tests and 1 model practical before every semester ends. The academics prepare you for real-life challenges, which is massively helpful. Every staff will give their best knowledge to you.

The fees for the BCA course are per semester. They charge Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 32,000 for all tuition and exam fees. The admission form costs Rs. 100. The books fee is between Rs. 1,900 to Rs. 2,100. Special discount is provided if the students get good marks in 12th grade in the name of scholarship. The scholarship amount is between Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 15,000.

The faculty members are well educated and quite experienced in teaching. They handle so many subjects at the single time without any mistakes. Mostly the faculties are PhD holders and many of them are pursuing PhD and getting experience by teaching us with good knowledge. They teach us by PPTs and boards. They provide notes in the Google classroom. They are masters in the problem solving. The teacher-student ratio is 1:60. The faculties are friendly and they have good communication skills. The attachments and bonding between the staff and students is good.

There is a placement cell is present in my college. They always try to seek the outside companies to provide placements actively. The placement cell starts to provide placements to the students, by start of the 5th semester. The average salary package is like between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 22,000. the highest paying package is Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 85,000. Currently I don't have personal experience in placements because I am going to 5th semester now only, but I heard the placement experience is tough and good.

The college offers hostel facilities to the students coming from long distances. The hostel infrastructure is quite big. There are many rooms, with over 500 students. The hostels are separate for both boys and girls. The mess food is hygienic but taste wise the quality and quantity can be improved. The hostel fees are between Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 27,000 annually. There are a lot of rules in the hostel and timings are 7 AM to 9 PM.

In NGMC Coimbatore, there are many blocks like A Block to D Block. The campus size is above 25 acres and it is located in the main city. The seating capacity of classrooms is approximately 60 members. There is a big library with lot of facilities. Seminar hall, conference hall, more than 3 auditoriums and canteen facilities with the good price are available. There is a separate place for all sports; my favorite infrastructure part is the turf, which is located in the right side entrance. The best facility provided by our college is our lab.

The overall campus life is so good and full of greenery. The college crowd is big in the morning time. There are 15 clubs, there are main 3 clubs like NCC, NSS, sports, and I am in the Consumer Awareness Club. NGMC Coimbatore provides the best extracurricular activities like yoga and Ulavu Bharathan, NME (non-major elective) etc. in BCA department, we have more number of events/fests compared to other departments here. Rest, particular festivals are celebrated at the college. My experience is quite different I just came to college without any idea in the beginning, I just did not merge with others and after some time I explored the best. I just created more memories in that college while studying, I got loyal friendships and I have gained the best quality of knowledge with cheapest sem fees in the college time.
