Campus Placements: NGMC Coimbatore's Placement & Training Program

My overall experience at the college has been quite positive. The campus is peaceful and well maintained, and the college provides a good learning environment. I chose this college because of its reputation in academics and affordability. The faculty members are helpful and supportive, and the curriculum is updated with the latest industry trends. One unique aspect is the personalized attention students receive, which I haven't seen in many other colleges in this locality.

The eligibility is based on 12th-grade marks. The admission process was smooth and handled efficiently by the college. Exams are conducted 3 times per semester as per the academic calendar. The academic environment is encouraging and the syllabus is comprehensive. Faculty provides proper guidance and assignments; seminars and projects help us understand the practical side of our subjects.

The fee structure is reasonable and affordable for a middle class student. In first year, I paid Rs. 50,000 that includes lab fees, tuition fees, and exam fees. The exam fees were Rs. 2,100. In second year, I paid Rs. 55,000 and exam fees were Rs. 2,600 with no hidden charges. The college supports economically backward backgrounds with scholarships.

The faculty members are knowledgeable and have years of experience in their respective fields. Most of them hold postgraduate degrees and some even have research experience. Their teaching methods include the use of blackboards, PowerPoint presentations, and interactive session like group discussions. They are always open to clarifying doubts. The teacher-student ratio is good, ensuring each students gets proper attention. Overall, They are approachable, friendly, and supportive throughout our academic journey.

Our college has a placement cell that works to connect students with companies. Though placements are limited, the college invites companies for campus requirement. In recent years, companies like Accenture, TCS, Infosys and Sutherland have visited the campus. Placement training includes resume writing session, aptitude classes, and mock interviews. The average package was modest, but a few students have received good efforts. I haven't been placed yet but am preparing through the college's support system the average package was 2.4 LPA and highest package was 5 LPA.

The hostel is located within the campus, making it easy to attend the classes. Rooms are shared with 3-4 students and basic facilities like beds, fans, and study tables are provided. Food is served three times a day and is decent. Hostel warden is strict and supportive. The security is good and the hostel fee is affordable. Hostel timing and rules are strict. Students must enter the hostel before 7:30 PM.

The college infrastructure is average but improving. Classrooms are spacious and well ventilated. The computer labs are equipped with basic system and internet access. The library has good collection of books and study materials. Sports facilities include a ground. Wi-Fi is available in some areas of the campus. Cleanliness is maintained, and there are adequate restrooms and water facilities. Seminar halls and AV rooms are used for guest lectures. The classroom seating is around 65 students. NGM college does not have a transport facility but nearest bus stop is available. Canteen food is decent and good in taste; medical facility is also good.

Campus life is enjoyable and full of learning experiences. The environment is student-friendly; we enjoy the events conducted here. The college crowd is okay. Some of the clubs are available and active in this college like ROTRACT, NSS, NCC, etc. Engagement activity and extracurricular are conducted less and happen in months of January and March. The college located at a safe place so students feel very secure.
