It has a wide spread campus of around 450 acres with a green environment and students accommodate in hostels which increases their social interactions. Honestly, when we talk about mess food we all know how it's going to be but here it's quite decent with changes when necessary. The teachers are very friendly here and will help you with any doubt whether its study related or life related. Labs will give you a great sense of accomplishment and will make you feel that you learned something. There are various technical and cultural fests organized where students get to learn and enhance their personalities for future endeavors. There are clubs ready to help you in whatever way they can. Sports activities are decent and many sports like football, volleyball, badminton and an annual sports event SPARDHA is organised here. There will be no internet connection issues as there are Wi-Fi available. The infrastructure is very nice as they have different buildings for every branch and continuous improvements are going on in the building of a new research center, lecture hall and a complex. The overall placements here are quite better. Overall, BIT Sindri offers a balanced student life and diverse academic as well as life opportunities to move forward in life.

Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad provides a lot of course like Bachelor of Technology, Masters of Technology, Bachelor in Science, and more. It also provides a lot of branches for B.Tech. The branch I chose is Electronics and Communication Engineering since it will give the opportunity to gain knowledge about hardware and software both. This institute takes entry as per you’re JEE Mains result and rankings of its own counseling as well. The admission process is not very hectic. Some just have to verify their documents after seat allocation in counseling. Counseling takes place in three major rounds and further extra rounds. Here every semester has two midterm exams where you get a ten day notice before the exam. Then there is lab viva and finally the end semester exam. These will prepare for your future very nicely.

The fee structure at Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad is very nominal. During the admission process one only has to pay a total of Rs. 15,000 and only Rs. 2,000 per semester for exams and a hostel fee of Rs. 10,000 for hostel electricity and accommodation whereas Rs. 4,000 is the mess fee.

The faculty members of the course I have chosen i.e. Electronics and Communication Engineering are very nice and cooperative. They will help you in many ways. You can ask for their help anytime. They teach on whiteboards and blackboards. They even take extra classes and solve doubts. They are very approachable and the bonding between the teachers and students is good. There are around 15 professors and assistant professors that will make your understanding more clear and enhance your knowledge on the subject.

The placement cell present in Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad is headed by Dr Ghanshyam Sir and they are doing great. Under him, there are T&P Cell co-coordinators from each branch who help him and work under his guidance. They are very responsible and doing everything to help students avail jobs. Knowledge about various companies and their new programs are given to students. Renowned companies like TCS, Tata, Yamaha, Cognizant, Vedanta, and many more visit here. The average packages here are up to 6.5 LPA and highest can go to even 17 LPA.

Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad offers a residential facility so whoever wants to live in the hostel can stay here and have great fun ahead. Recently, new hostel have been built and I am residing in it. It has 4 wings like A, B, C, and D with each wing having 5 floors with 10 rooms accommodating 2 students per room. It very spacious and has a big mess and 2 common rooms for discussions and indoor sports facilities along with a television. Also, it has 2 lifts. Boys and girls have separate hostels. Mess food is quite decent and can feel monotonous after a period of time but they keep adding new items to it so it's worthy as it takes certain fee per month for mess. There is no particular rule but generally gate closes after 10 PM. One can enjoy a great time in hostel here at Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad.

The infrastructure at Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad is great. The buildings are built in accordance with the environment that thrives here. Every branch has its own building, a big Administrative building, placement cell building, many lab and workshops. There are three playing grounds here. Recently there are improvements going on as a new research center, lecture hall and a complex is being built and new hostels have been given this year which also is very spacious and it has a big ground in front of it.

The overall campus life at Birsa Institute of Technology, Dhanbad is great. It has a huge crowd of students, teachers and staff. There are many clubs, technical and social like LEO, ROTARACT, IESTE, HNCC, and many more. One can join them by giving screenings and personal interviews that will enhance his or her personality. There are societies for every branch. There are various sports events and competitive events organised that you can be a part of. Recently we celebrated 75th anniversary of BIT Sindri where all aluminizes were invited and had great fun night with songs and dance. We celebrate all festival like Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Republic Day and many more. With my experience, I assure you that you will have a great campus and Institute life if you come here.
