Hindu College Placement: Disha Society's Success

Hindu College, being the NIRF 2024 Rank 1, is of course a beautiful college that will attract you with its beauty. I like the teachers here. They are so friendly and cheerful. They will help with everything possible. There are also various societies that you may join according to your work. These societies include two government organizations named NSS and NCC. These two are one of the most prestigious societies of the college and very much active as well. Other then these, there is Enactus which works on international levels. You may choose to join them by applying for them and pass there induction process that usually ends with interview and starts with an induction form. Though overall, it is fun to be here. You will find all kinds of people, so choose the best that suits you.

I chose B.Sc Mathematics (Hons.), thinking of the college being no.1 in Science courses from past 3 years. The course itself is an interesting one. The course helps you to develop mental clarity if you actually work over these subjects. It also includes practical skills starting from basic excel tools to Mastering Mathematical and learning Python. Eligibility to this course requires nothing more than Mathematics in CUET and boards along with a language, usually English, and any two domains.

The fee is paid on yearly basis, which is a bare minimum of Rs. 29,000 nearly for 2024-25 session, which though have risen since previous years.

The faculty and professors in our college are usually a PhD holder and fairly active in research programs. Some of them have studied from Hindi College themselves, or any other DU college or also from IITs. We were taught on boards and on computers that helps in learning practical skills that are to be operated on computer. Teachers are also really smart that they have the capability to solve all our doubts. Other than that they are experienced enough to guide us in all aspects of our studies as well as life.

Our college provides placements via society named Disha, the placement cell.

Hindu College offers hostels for girls that can accommodate nearly 400 girls and also a boy’s hostel, which is still under construction.

There is an old academic block where all Humanities departments and Chemistry & Physics labs are set up. Then there is this new academic block where you can see Science department rooms and bigger classes that can accommodate nearly 150 students. All rooms mostly are equipped with projectors that works pretty well. We also have a library that accommodate many academic books that takes up nearly four floors of shelves to set up. Other than that, we have a reserve section above our library where the extreme peace in our college can be observed. That space is also very beautiful and peaceful that will make you feel calm naturally. That also is occupied with PYQs, you can solve them by simply sitting there.

The campus life is also great. I would say you can meet people from every possible state in India. There is actual unity in diversity here. We also have many foreigners who are studying prestigious courses of India. The crowd is also great filled with multiple talents and healthy competition between and inside college. There are also societies that help people interact more and develop what skills they possess to get better command over it.
