Insights of NIE Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
When I joined this institute, everything seemed to be fine accepting the campus because that is in outskirts of Mysore. Students are very talented and supportive. So overall, I must say, if you are looking for a peaceful city and of course very good placements, then you should join NIE Institute of Technology.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. I have given COMEDK exam and got admission through the same. Apart from CSE, there are other specializations such as ISE, AIML, and Data Science. Coming to the exams, we have two internals followed by the semester end exam. So one semester will be of 4 to 5 months. Exams are taken very seriously by our institute they are very strict if you caught in any malpractice then you will be fined. Overall, academics are best.
Talking about the fee, I have paid 2.2 Lakh for one year and 1 Lakh for hostel. Scholarships are available for Karnataka and female students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are so supportive and very good except few. Each one of them has PhD in their particular course. Every teacher is pretty good but they are very strict with attendance. Teachers are very approachable. They will teach you concepts and you can reach to them in their free time.
 

Placement Rating
The only reason I chose to come in NIE Institute of Technology is the placement only. 20 + companies will come during drive to offer average CTC of more than12 LPA. Placement coordinator is supportive and encourages students to push themselves to do better in their placements. Some popular companies come in our institute is Pure Storage, Amadeus, Scalar, & CommScope.
 

Hostel Rating
We have two hostels in institute campus: one is for boys and another is for girls. Hostels are newly made, so you will get very good infrastructure with all facilities. Curfew time is 7:30 PM. Coming to the mess food. It is above average. You will get 3 meals along with snacks also so overall hostel is pretty good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus size of NIE Institute of Technology is around 23 acres. Overall, it is good. There is one library where both referral and book issue sections are there. The library can accommodate around 100 students at a time. 3 canteens are there along with one small auditorium. There are two separate buildings for classes and labs.
 

Campus Rating
As per my personal experience, students are very competitive and dedicated towards the studies. Crowd is intelligent and smart. We have so many clubs. We have our fest ‘Technex’ that consists of auto expo, fashion show, dance, DJ night and the last ethnic day. I am grateful that I got supportive and encouraging friends.

    I chose this college because of the various reviews from Quora and other websites which mentioned that academics were easier and that we get enough days off for us to up skill ourselves. It is an ideal place to study as there are no distractions.
