GEHU Dehradun: Through Eyes of A Fresher

Overall Rating
As a First Year in Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun my experience is mixed. It is not so good and not so bad. Factors that made me choose this particular university is my seniors. They are great. In Dehradun, this university is best known for its fest and events. It is a very nice experience.
 

Academics Rating
The University offers variety of courses like BCA, B.Tech, MBA, and more. I choose BCA because I have always been interested in Technology, and how it powers the world around us. Entry requirements are you have to pass 12th and minimum you have score 60%. Admission process is simple, you can visit its official website and fill out the online application form. Upload necessary details and documents.
The fees structure is reasonable of my course. I paid around Rs. 65,000 in the first semester and Rs. 50,000in second semester. They give scholarship based on merit. They also give discount of about 25% to the people of Uttarakhand and 5% to Defense background people.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculty is mixed, including experienced and new educators both. While some teachers are really supportive and knowledgeable, others can be average. Sincerity is appreciated here. Students who actively participate in events tend to get more attention and opportunities. The method of teaching is through PPTs. The teacher- student ratio at GEHU Dehradun is good. Many professors are friendly and supportive, especially if you show interest in their subject. You can approach them during and after class for doubts.
 

Placement Rating
I do not know much about that, as I am a first year student.
 

Hostel Rating
I don't live in hostel but they offer you hostels and they are manageable and mostly clean. The mess food is not so good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Hill University of Dehradun is average. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and ACs. Labs are decently equipped. Wi-Fi works fine, but sometimes it slows down. The library is quiet and useful for self-study. My favorite part of this campus is its tuck shop. I like their food as they offer variety of food.
 

Campus Rating
I like it quite well here. Although, my experience is average. The crowd is good and there are many clubs to join. Engagement activities organised by the university are decent. I like the fest of this university; they call it ‘Grafest’. Last year they invite Badshah and Divine as their main artists; and this year they invited Amit Trivedi. I recommend this university.

    I chose Graphic Era Hill University because it was a renowned organization and not too far from my place. The infrastructure and faculty are excellent and even the placements are most important reasons I preferred GEHU over other colleges.     This university is one of the best in my state; it provides the best of the education and technology of the current time to the students. The professors at the university are highly experienced and qualified. Sports facilities and facilities for bus with full security and care are provided to the students.     My overall experience in this university is fantastic. I love its infrastructure management staff. I met new people and interacted with them. I enjoyed every event and fest conducted by the university. Participated in all events held by the university management and I enjoyed.
