NLIU Bhopal: All Aspects

Overall Rating
NLIU Bhopal is known for its Mooting Competitions, its active involvement in research, and the quality of faculty that it has. I have done my 1st year and all I can say is our program is quite rigorous. We have internal competitions and from second year, we are sent for Moot Competitions. Internships are mandatory as our institute keeps a check on whether we are doing internships or not during the breaks.
 

Academics Rating
One of the most rigorous curriculums is followed here. Admission in every NLU in India happens through CLAT; and for general category, students with minimum AIR 1000 can secure a seat. A semester here is of only 4 and a half months as we have almost two months break after each semester.
Our annual fees, including the hostel, are around 2.8 Lakh. Scholarships are mostly for reserved category students on merit basis (maximum 15%).
 

Faculty Rating
The glory of NLIU Bhopal is all because of its faculties. One of our faculties is almost two and a half decade old. The faculties don't just reply on notes or the case studies which are there in the syllabus, how legal system works in India is also taught to us by them.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are a little sparse. Hardly 50% students are placed from campus. The institute is working to make it better though.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are inside the campus and initially we have to adjust with shared rooms as single rooms are given only when we are seniors. A cupboard and cot are provided inside the room and washrooms are common. Mess is average as it is air-conditioned.
 

Infrastructure Rating
NLIU Bhopal has a large campus which has a couple of academic blocks and one library building. The library itself can accommodate the entire strength of the institute as it's that big. Apart from classrooms, there are convention centers where combined classes are taken. We have a yoga centre and an indoor badminton court as well. Outdoor sports ground is there too. The mess is average but we have another canteen, a juice shop and an Amul and Nescafe counter.
 

Campus Rating
The seniors are quite helpful and will themselves stop and interact with us. Institute crowd is diverse and probably the best among all NLUs. We have annual events like ‘Palchin’ and ‘Virudhaka’ where the latter is a sports event and students from various colleges are invited to participate in that event.

    I have had an amazing time at the institute so far. I think I got everything I wanted from college. The people here are so friendly and welcoming.
