Mangalayatan University B.Tech Review By Aditya Tiwari

Mangalayatan University was founded in year 2006 and it is recognized by the University Grant Commission. My experience in the institute was overall good and one thing that can be changed about the college is the college culture because this college is zero in term of college culture there are no fest happen in the college. College management just focuses on the studies and assignment. Not much extra curriculum activities in the college. College campus is huge and they offer many courses in various streams. I choose this institute because my maternal uncle was an ex employee in the institute and he refer me to this college. I think that other should not take admission in this college because there are numerous colleges better than this university and has similar fee.

I have taken Computer Science Engineering because this field was in trend when I had taken admission in Mangalayatan University. To be eligible for the admission in the university students must have qualified the Intermediate exam with passing marks. There is no entrance exam for the university you can just go to the college reception and take admission in the institute, However you can take admission on the basis of the JEE Mains exam. There are many exams in each semester and each after some part of the syllabus is completed. To pass the semester we have to qualify the internal and external examination and then practical. Academically this university is good and they really focus on the quality of the education that they provide to the students. Test pattern that happens in the Class test is theoretical.

I took admission in Computer Science Engineering branch and this branch we learn about the subjects related to the computer and programming languages and web development and most of the syllabus can be done on practicing on the personal computer. So faculty just needs to tell us the basic of each subject and after that we can learn the subjects by just practicing. All of the faculties have done Post Graduation and few of the teachers have already done their PhD and some of them are still pursuing. But one this about the university that I like is that faculty members here are good and explain all the concept from basics. Teaching style is good and it does not feel boring to be in class because of their presence. Teachers are very experienced here and teaching since the inception of the university.

Some companies visit the campus but only for few positions and they offer salary from 2.5 LPA to 7.5 LPA. Since there are few companies visit the university hence we have to look for the off campus placements and many companies like Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys are the companies in which we can apply for the out of campus job profiles. There are many job opportunity in the out of campus jobs but there is also a lot of competition in the off campus jobs because these job profiles are open for the students all around the India. In my class only 15 students got placed out of 60 students and other students took admission in the Post graduation or some started their own business and many students prepare for the GATE examination. Placement cell in the university only provide internship opportunity in the third year of the course because this is a mandatory internship in the curriculum.

Yes hostel facilities are available in Mangalayatan University and opt for the college hostel because good PG are not available outside the university because college campus is outside the main city so many student has to opt for the college hostel. College hostel fee in my year of college was Rs. 55,000 per year. Many facilities are available for the college students because most of the students are hosteller hence each student of the university has all the access to the college campus. There are many facilities in the college hostel like Wi-Fi in the campus and laundry service and also a well equipped gym in the hostel. Mess food needs improvement because it is not eatable in many days. There are 1000 seats in the hostel and we eat together and some day’s food is really good but most of the time food is not good.

There are fifteen buildings in the university. There are ten blocks for the academic purposes and there are two workshops in the academic area. College is situated outside the city so many outside the campus facilities are not available for the students. University offers more than 20 courses in different area and gives every necessary facility to the students so there is one academic block for the computer science engineering branch and a big computer center which has more than 500 computers with proper functioning. College entrance gate is very beautiful wide and give proper view of the college beauty. Academic and hostel buildings are also very good and very well maintained even after the 15 year of its foundation. College Library is a 2 floor book center which has many books from across the courses. Classrooms are good and very clean and have proper amenities.

Mangalayatan University Campus life is the composition of study, pressure, stress and little bit fun because of the friends. Overall I had enjoyed my days in the university because of the friends that I made in the institute and in the hostel. Crowd in the university is not very diverse. Male to female ratio is also very low because there is only one girl over 4 boys. There are one or two clubs in the university which are run by the faculty member and one of the clubs of the university is the social service club and one club was innovative club called Kalam which was named after great Indian scientist A P J Abdul Kalam. One small fest happen every year called ATHARVA in which no celebrities come to perform and only has to perform ourselves. But this fest is fun and enjoy a lot in this fest. There are some engagement activities that happen in the campus for the students’ development.
