My Opinion on Mangalayatan University

Overall Rating
My experience at Mangalayatan University is good enough. I learnt and experienced many things. I chose this university because this is close to my hometown, university transport is available and it provides scholarship based on 12th merit. It has an eco-friendly environment. When I visited the university, I found it suitable for me. There are separate blocks and departments for different courses. Regular lectures are conducted.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I chose is B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. I chose it because I wanted to learn more about its subjects and to have better job opportunities in future. The eligibility criterion is to have 50% marks in 10+2 with PCM/PCSM stream. You need to submit all the documents and the semester fee on time. Exams are held thrice in a semester. 2 minors and 1 major exam. The academics provide us all the basic knowledge of the subjects and there are regular labs sessions also.
The fee for my course is Rs. 1,20,000 per annum, in which there is Rs. 1,00,000 tuition fee and Rs. 20,000 other charges. Rs. 500 is fee for an admission application form. Rs. 6000 is exam fee (per year). Rs. 5,000 is the security amount, which is paid one time and refundable. Merit based scholarship is provided upto 100%. 100% scholarship is provided to Jain community and SC/ST students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are helpful and interactive. They provide you with knowledge of subjects in best possible way. They try to create an environment where students can focus and learn. They provide support to the students. There are different faculty members for every course. The faculty is experienced. Teachers try to make a bond with the students to make them comfortable with the university environment. Teachers solve the problems of the students efficiently. Mentorship is provided by teachers for every student.
 

Placement Rating
There is a separate block of Training and Placement cell that organizes recruitment drives. There are frequent industrial visits to prepare students for the industrial environment. Placements start from the 4th year. Students have to make projects to build a strong resume for better job opportunities. Companies like Vodafone, BYJU'S, ICICI Bank, INNOVA, etc visit the campus and offer different packages to students according to their ability and skills.
 

Hostel Rating
There are in-campus hostels available for both boys and girls. Mess and GYM is provided. Mess food is just fine. Separate wardens take care of students. Girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. There are 2 seater, 3 seater, 3 seater with AC, 4 seater, 6 seater, and 10 seater rooms are available. A fee varies according to the type of room you choose as if for 2 seater the fee is Rs. 50,000 per semester and for 3 seater with AC the fee is Rs. 60,000 per semester. The charges cater for both boarding and lodging. Functions for hostel students are arranged.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of Mangalayatan University is good. Separate blocks for every course. Classrooms are properly ventilated. Both AC and non-AC classrooms are there for the students. Currently for floors are being added in the hostels and the university is working more on the department buildings. It takes proper care of the greenery of the campus area. There is a Jain temple in the centre of the campus and a Durga temple. Different grounds for different sports. All facilities like labs, auditorium, seminar halls, smart classes, art gallery, circle, library is available in the University.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is good and you can make many memories there. Students sit in the grounds and gossip in their breaks. You can enjoy playing different sports. There are various clubs for cultural activities and sports club for students to participate in the games it like. Events, functions and guests lectures are held regularly. To roam, students mostly go to Beswan, Mathura, Aligarh, etc. Festivals and special days are celebrated in the auditorium.

    I completed my bachelors from this university last year and my experience was splendid. I chose this specific university because one of the alumni was my friend's elder brother who has a stable career and he gave me valuable insights of university that intrigued me.     Mangalayatan University was founded in year 2006 and it is recognized by the University Grant Commission. My experience in the institute was overall good and one thing that can be changed about the college is the college culture because this college is zero in term of college culture there are no fest happen in the college.
