SSN College of Engineering is one of the top Colleges offering a variety of Engineering courses. The classrooms and overall infrastructure are excellent, creating a great learning environment. One of the best things about this College is 100% placement record. Especially strong in CSE and IT.

I have chosen Bachelors of Technology in Information Technology. The motive behind enrolling in this course is to gain strong technical skills in areas like programming data structures, machine learning and cloud computing which are essential for today’s tech driven world. Admission is through TNEA counseling or entrance exam. High cut off or good entrance score followed by an interview assessing communication skill is required. The course has 8 semesters in total and exams held throughout each semester.

The annual fees is Rs.1,50,000/- covering lab charges, registration, tuition fees with exam fees paid separately for each semester. Fee constructions are offered to under privileged students and 1st generation graduates. Scholarships are offered for merit students and have a separate fee waiver.

Faculty members of my course are highly qualified with mostly holding a Ph.D degree from reputed Institutions. Teaching method includes using presentations, blackboard explanations, and practical sessions, with less focus on group discussions as they have less time. Faculties are very approachable and ready to clarify doubts any time. Student’s teacher ratio is good with 60 students per class and multiple sections. My experience with them is been positive with nice academic guidance.

The College is located in kalavakkam boasts a large green campus with beautiful landscapes and a central clock tower. Academic blocks includes modern classrooms with projectors quality seating, and bright lighting, facilities like a well stocked library seminar hall and a spacious auditorium and labs are available. The medical support is also available. There is only disadvantage here is that you have to walk a long way from entrance to the main campus.

Campus life is overall very engaging for students as it has a lot of events to participate throughout the year and other College students also come here and we also get chance to participate in other Colleges fun events as well as tech events. There are a lot of clubs like photography clubs, music clubs etc to showcase your talent. There are a lot of hackathons, ideathons involving technical activities which also help u get a certificate which you can add in your resume and can be helpful to get you a job. Overall experience is so fun and engaging for students. The campus also has outdoor court facilities like Cricket ground, gym for hostel students and basketball court along with academics cultural events, fun activities and fests are conducted making student life enjoying and engaging.
