PGI Roorkee Provides Scholarships as per the Categories

My overall experience in PGI Roorkee till now is average. This Institute conducts many tournaments and events ranging from studies to the extra-curriculum. They conduct hackathon every year and give chance to participate in this event with minimal fee as compared to other Universities. After looking through many Institutions I chose this Institute because of the fee structure and quality education. As compared to other Colleges they provide the best placement for lesser course fee. Also, they offer scholarships to the students.

I did BCA from here and I suggest you to do the same because this course will prepare you for the jobs in the tech industry. For the admissions, some documents are required that you have to submit here with registration fee. They conduct internal and external exams are conducted in a semester.

For BCA your overall fee will be around Rs. 2,00,000 without scholarship. You can pay your fee all at once or you can give half of the amount semester wise. They charge registration fee in the starting which is Rs. 5,000 and for tuition fee they charge Rs. 41,500. They provide scholarships for other category students.

Almost all the faculty members are humble and ready to help. You should make good connections with the teachers. They provide notes to you and give assignments regularly. They conduct surprise tests as well. Most teachers are young and understand our perspective. The methods used for teaching are blackboards and notes in the form of PDFs. Their problem solving abilities are good and they try to solve doubts if asked repeatedly. One negative point is that there aren't many teachers to handle the different subjects and sometimes there are no teacher available for the particular subject or maybe non-experienced teacher will teach you that subject. My experience with the faculty is good as I have good connections with the teachers and I can approach them easily. Although when they teach online they take long time to respond and to keep you updated about your queries.

I appreciate our placement cell as they continuously keep us updated for the upcoming internships which can be both paid and unpaid. They conduct webinars and seminars related to the jobs and internships which is quite good as some of the students don't know how and which internship to apply for. The average package can go from 4 LPA to 9 LPA. Many companies come for the recruitment and many capable students directly get placed.

PGI Roorkee provides hostels for both girls and boys both with separate buildings for them. They provide guards for their security and good quality food with variety, and the hostels get cleaned regularly. They have water purifier inside the hostels. There is fixed time for all the meals. Annual fee of hostel is around Rs. 68,000. They have strict timings for the students and they can't go outside after 7 PM.

Campus is big with 3 floors and campus size is good. In a classroom 45 students can accommodate. There are different facilities like library where you can get previous year papers easily, and we have a big seminar hall and conference hall where multiple activities occur. We have a canteen with hygiene and good food but it is a little expensive. We have a small sports room with little equipment. They have transport facility and for girls it's free. We have security on the main gate, admission cell, and in hostel which ensures that no ineligible person enters in the campus. My favorite part of the Institute is our ground as it's clean and there is sitting arrangement under the shade of trees. They provide 2 labs where we can work on our practicals and theoretical applications.

My campus life is very nice with great memories. The campus is not crowded which is good as well. There are many clubs in our campus like sports, dance, tech and I am a part of the tech club. They schedule hackathon, sports, dance, and quiz competitions regularly for the improvement of the students. Annually the ‘Aura’ (fest) happens where rising singers come and they conduct dance competition as well. They provide freshers party too. My overall experience in the campus was great. For the students I will say study consistently and don't forget to enjoy your College life as well.
