Securing My Future at UTU Dehradun

Overall Rating
Uttarakhand Technical University is the main university in Uttarakhand from which the 26 other university are affiliated. The campus is really beautiful and surrounded with greenery. We have all facilities like canteen, student lounge, Wi-Fi, etc. I will definitely refer this university to all the freshers out there who are thinking of taking admission in B.Tech Computer Science or Cyber Security.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen the four-year B.Tech course in Cyber Security branch, which is a very popular domain in technical world these days. It has a rising demand in every other online platform. Entry requirements are JEE Main percentile and your class 12th score. Admission is accepted by counselling portal only. Academics here prepare you for real life challenges by providing you with various state level competitions to analyse your progress and understand where you're lagging behind.
Fee is approx. 4 Lakh for the complete course.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very cooperative and supportive. They not only teach well but they also are very good mentors. All the faculty members are either post-graduated or PhD holders. The HODs are very helpful and supportive; they put a lot of effort to provide the best knowledge to the students. Teaching method is completely based on student and faculty choice. Any problem faced by student is solved within 2-3 days. The teachers are definitely approachable and very kind.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is decent and it depends on your university performance. Average package is 5 LPA- 6 LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is really good, however it's still under construction. The main university building is beautiful with conference hall, smart laboratories, Wall Of Heroes to inspire students, and much more. Campus size is 20 acres and locality is good. Canteen is good, various sports like Basketball, Football, Cricket, Tennis, Badminton, Kabbadi, Tug of War, Table Tennis, Chess, etc. are there. 2 ambulances are always ready for any kind of emergency. AI and robotics have separate laboratories with all the facilities and equipment.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is quite satisfactory. Crowd is not much, as the B.Tech was introduced newly in 2023 in main university. There are many student clubs like art & literacy, sports, debate, music, and cultural club. 1 annual fest and convocation ceremony are mandatory rest depends on various factors. Campus life is good, university is decent and I can suggest you to take admission definitely it will be a good choice.

    The major factors for approaching this university were, it is a government-funded university plus it has a campus institute named as Women Institute of Technology, which is a girl's university.
