Great Experience at UTU Dehradun

Overall Rating
Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University Dehradun offers a variety of courses such as B.Tech, MBA, B.Pharma and many more. The University is built-on a vast area of land with all the facilities that are required by students. The major factor that made me choose this University was that it was a Government University with a great placement record. Also, another eye catching plus point for approaching this University was its affordable fee structure.
 

Academics Rating
I am B.Tech student from Computer Science branch. The academic record of students at the University is great since it offers admission on merit basis. The admission process is quite simple with dedicated staff assisting you with the process. You can apply directly using the website of University or by appearing for Engineering entrance exams like JEE Main or CUET. Each semester, exams are conducted three times.
The fee for the course I am pursing is around Rs. 75,000/- per annum as of 2024 which is inclusive of the tuition fee and other compulsory charges. Thus, the hostel is not included in the University fees.
 

Faculty Rating
The background of faculties is mainly IIT graduates and post graduates. These faculties are very knowledgeable and highly qualified. The faculties are also very helpful regarding your professional and personal needs. Overall, faculties are too good for students. In internal practical exams, the teachers mark your scores leniently than the external examiner which helps you score higher. The teacher to student ratio is roughly around 1:20.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the University is great with a dedicated department for each course. The University has total of three cafeterias. The University also has sports ground for extracurricular activities. One thing that I believe the University should improve upon is that it should also provide medical facilities to the students’ on-campus in case of medical emergencies.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life is so good. There is a limited crowd at the University. There are no student clubs. There are many extracurricular activities that are organised by the University. There are a lot of events held on-campus with an annual fest each year. And, no extra charges are charged for these. For engagement activities, the University conducts hackathons and other activities which offer practical exposure to the students. The University also makes you industry ready.

    Uttarakhand Technical University is the main university in Uttarakhand from which the 26 other university are affiliated. The campus is really beautiful and surrounded with greenery. We have all facilities like canteen, student lounge, Wi-Fi, etc. I will definitely refer this university to all the freshers out there who are thinking of taking admission in B.Tech Computer Science or Cyber Security....
