UTU Dehradun Offers Holistic Development

Overall Rating
My experience in this University is great in both academics and extracurricular activities since it is the main focus of UTU Dehradun. Other than this, the University also supports you if you want to start any startup of your own by providing some funding for the same. University also celebrates every festival with lot of enthusiasm and the atmosphere in the campus is very nice. The University is situated in the greenery of the Dehradun which is also a good point.
 

Academics Rating
The major eligibility criterion for approaching this University for Engineering course is that you have to give Joint Entrance Examination and score a good percentile in it. After your examination, you have to register for Uttarakhand counseling through which you can get admission in this University. There are also some seats in this University which are for students who want to take admission on the basis of their 12th mark sheet. The cut-off for this University in Joint Entrance Examination does not go very high.
The overall fee of the University is pretty decent and very affordable. The University also provides scholarship for categories such as OBC / ST / SC. This scholarship is worth of an amount of approximately Rs. 50,000/-.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are the major plus point for this University. They are very knowledgeable and highly educated and have done their Ph.Ds. They have also undertaken a lot of research works. These faculties also help you beyond your academics and guide you towards your future career. You can ask them to help address doubts like, what to do after under graduation and they can also guide you if you want to prepare for competitive exams. You should maintain a good relation with your faculties to score good marks in your practicals.
 

Hostel Rating
Till date, there are no hostel facilities in UTU Dehradun but they are still under construction. You can approach for private hostels outside the University premises which are very affordable, clean, and spacious. Private hostels also serve delicious food and offer other basic facilities such as Wi-Fi and laundry.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the University is great and well-maintained. The campus is huge and surrounded on a huge area of land. It is clean and full of greenery. There are different departments for every course with their own dedicated labs and classrooms. University also has sports ground, medical facilities and transport facilities for day scholar students. Wi-Fi is also available in the University.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very nice. Every year, the University itself organise many cultural fests, technical fests and many other sports events. The best experiences are often derived from activities like music night, dance competition, fashion show, robotic competition, and many more. The University also has many clubs in which you can take part according to your choice.

    Uttarakhand Technical University is the main university in Uttarakhand from which the 26 other university are affiliated. The campus is really beautiful and surrounded with greenery.
