Good Overall Experience at MSIT New Delhi

Overall Rating
MSIT New Delhi provides a good experience. Fests and cultural events take place often. Faculty is good. The infrastructure is functional and supports academic needs well though there’s room for improvement in some areas.
 

Academics Rating
I have taken admission in Bachelor of Technology (Information Technology). First year syllabus is same for every branch. So yes it's not designed specifically for CSE / IT. Attendance criteria is not very strict. From second year onwards, you get proper course designed for your branch. Maintaining 9+ CGPA is not that hard.
The fee is Rs. 1,70,000/- for 1st year and for second year, it is Rs. 1,60,000/-. In my opinion, fee is not very high.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are supportive and well qualified especially in departments like CSE and IT. Most professors hold M.Tech or Ph.D degree and are knowledgeable in their subjects. They are approachable for doubts and often guide students in projects and research work. While the teaching style is more theoretical, many faculty members try to add practical insights, especially during lab sessions. Students appreciate the disciplined academic environment though some feel that more focus on industry level skills is needed.
 

Placement Rating
The placements are fine with an average package of 8 LPA to 9 LPA can be expected. Companies like Zomato, Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc. visit MSIT New Delhi.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the hostel has all the basic amenities and hostel fee is also very less which is around Rs. 70,000/- for 10 months.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has good classrooms, labs, and a library, though some buildings look a bit old. Labs for CSE and IT are well-equipped but others may lack a few resources. Wi-Fi is available but not always reliable. Some labs may look old but do their job pretty well. There is a nice auditorium and sports facilities are there but not very extensive. The canteen is average but affordable. Students like the clean and green environment.
 

Campus Rating
There’s always something going on like tech events, cultural fests, and random club activities and so it never gets too dull. The crowd is decent and always ready to help. The campus isn't the biggest, but it has a calm vibe. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you work hard but also live the moments.

    MSIT is top 3 under IPU colleges it's is reputed college and the faculty is good if you are doing B.Tech from MSIT you will not regret it but it's infrastructure is not as many other engineering college it's just of 8 acres and 75% is also mandatory but you can maintain up to 50-60% overall the college is good placement is decent and you can take admission in MSIT....     I had taken admission in Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology in 2020. I am feeling blessed that I have chosen this college to pursue my Bachelor’s of Technology degree. This college runs in 2 shifts i.e. morning and evening shifts. Both shifts have different teachers so you get energetic teachers in both the shifts.     The locality where the college is located Janakpuri is a very nice area with very low crime rate and very good housing and PG facilities within 1 km range of the college at very reasonable prices. Metro facility is also available within 1 km of the college and it is a highly safe area for girls. The fees is also very low compared to other college for B.
