My Candid Views on IIM Ranchi

Overall Rating
My experience at IIM Ranchi has been really good so far. I joined MBA in Business Analytics here as it is one of the growing fields in today's scenario. The Program is well structured and the learning environment is very supportive. What I like the most here is the weather; it’s so comforting and good Professors who are always there to help you.
 

Academics Rating
I chose this course because I have always been interested in working with data and solving real problems. I have graduated from Daulat Ram College and did B.Sc in Physics (Hons.) there. The eligibility criteria are, you have to clear CAT followed by a personal interview. The frequency of exams is quite balanced. We have midterm exams and end terms exams with quizzes and group projects.
The total fee for the program is around Rs. 17,50,000/- for two years including hostels but excluding Mess charges. I paid Rs. 19,20,000/- including all the charges. The Merit cum scholarships is also available for the students of different backgrounds.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at IIM Ranchi is very experienced and approachable. Most professors have strong academic and corporate backgrounds. The teaching methods include PPTs, GD, and real time case studies. They also give us chance to ask questions and clear our doubts. They make you industry ready and help you in the placement process. They cover topics that are more relevant in the industry nowadays.
 

Placement Rating
This Institute has a dedicated placement cell that is very supportive. They help us prepare through mock interviews, CV reviews, and training sessions. Every year top companies like Accenture, JPMC, Aditya Birla Group, etc visit for recruitment. Students get roles in finance, marketing, analytics, operations, etc. My Summer Internship placement experience was good; the placement cell here doesn't force you to sit like other Institutes. Overall the experience was quite good.
 

Hostel Rating
There are separate hostels for girls and the boys. For the 1st year, students get sharing rooms with attached washrooms. The study table and wardrobes is also provided. In 2nd year, the students will get single rooms with common washroom facility. The mess food is decent and hygienic. The menu will be different every day. You need to come to the campus by 9:30 PM. The bus facility is also available for taking the student to the market.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors. There is a library with good digital access and databases. We also have computer labs, seminar halls, and group discussion rooms. The campus also has a Nescafe and a night canteen that serves snacks and beverages. Sports facilities are still under construction and hopefully it will be there soon. I really like our academic block; it's clean and has a calm study environment. Medical Facilities are also provided by the Institute.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life at IIM Ranchi is full of learning and fun. The crowd here is diverse and the students are very active in committees. I was a part of the Consulting club and it has helped me learn outside academics too. They organise a lot of activities such as cultural events, competitions, and guest lectures. Every student from this Institute is involved in some activities. The overall vibe is friendly and motivating.
