Decent Campus Life at MBM University Jodhpur

Overall Rating
The fee of MBM University Jodhpur is very less as compared to other Engineering Colleges and the curriculum is basically the same. The ROI is also decent. The location of the campus is good and well connected. The overall experience is average. If somebody's coming from a low financial background and want a good Engineering University, then they must go for this University.
 

Academics Rating
Admission is done on the basis of JEE Main percentile and second priority is given to 12th Boards percentage. For admission in Electronics and Computer Engineering, around 88-92 percentile are considered as a safe range. The mid-terms occur every alternate month and semester exams at the end of the semester. The admission is done from REAP counseling. This University is considered as a top choice in the REAP counseling.
The fee for GAS branches is around Rs. 18,000/- to Rs. 20,000/- per semester and for SFS it is around Rs. 43,000/- per semester. However, this fee is substantially reduced for ST / SC students. Many scholarships are also available on partial to even full amount of the fees.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are well qualified and Ph.D holders. Their teaching is also decent and most of them are helpful. Lectures may not be regular in the first year. There are almost 100 students in a class.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is present and helpful. Placements happen in both core and non-core branches. However, it's a little better for the core branches. Average package for CSE & IT branches is 4 to 6 LPA. For core branches like Mining and Petroleum, it is 11 to 12 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel infrastructure is decent but other facilities like mess are not satisfactory. There are 7 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. Hostel fee is Rs. 12,000/- for the whole year and mess fees is Rs. 18,000/- for 5 months. Hostel regulations are very strict for girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus size is around 98 acres situated in Ratanada. It is well connected to railway and bus stations. The labs are well equipped and air conditioned. There is a seminar hall, auditorium, library, sports ground, and central lawn. Canteen is also there but it doesn't have anything nice. There are watchmen in the University campus. The campus is divided into two parts, which are north campus and south campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. University crowd is decent. There are many clubs in the University like kalakriti (art club), zenith (dance club), pratibimb (drama club), alankar (poetry club), debate club, etc. A sports event from the name of 'KHELO MBM' is organised every year around Holi. Fests like ENCARTA and dandiya nights also happen. Campus life so far was satisfactory.
