Kamala Nehru College Campus Size is Around 10 Acres

I got in University of Delhi with many expectations and I can proudly say that those were fulfilled inside out. Entering Kamala Nehru College, a girl’s college that was not very famous at that time, I had my doubts if I will be able to survive there. Unexpectedly, I was welcomed with open arms by the professors and the students. It was a cakewalk for me to finish my three years of Bachelors with utmost knowledge and fulfilled dreams.

I enrolled in B.A (Hons.) in Philosophy. My motive at that time was to choose this subject as an optional in UPSC examination. The eligibility criteria was 90% marks in 12th standard. Admission process included filling the form, clearing the cut offs, and further submitting the documents at the college. We had six semesters. Exams were conducted after every semester. Philosophy as a subject taught me a lot and changed my life completely. I decided to pursue this academic career as a result of all the impact the professors and this subject brought in my life.

The fees that was charged was Rs. 7,000/annum for general category. I am not aware of the same for different categories.

I had 11 faculty members teaching me throughout the tenure of three years. The knowledge they shared with the students was enriching and life changing. Since day-1, each lecture was eye catching and full of life. It felt like regret if I had to miss even one of that. Every professor brought in a different sort of light to the classroom, which was too exciting for the students. Apart from the knowledge, the life lessons they had as they came from different walks of life, were beautiful.

The campus was well maintained and had great infrastructure. Campus size was around 10 acres and the locality was prime and secured. We had AV aids in all the classrooms. Library was well equipped and one the largest in entire University. Canteen had all the basic meal options & it was very well managed and hygienic. Favourite part of the college was a small-dedicated place called Chaupal in the campus where we used to chill in free time. It was an attractive covered area with a beautiful view. The playground of the college also had area for various activities.

It was a beautiful three-year ride, which taught me some, or the other thing at every step. The college crowd was decent and welcoming. I didn't face any challenges in mingling up with my fellow mates. There are a lot of societies- such as Dance society, Peace society, Drama society, Fashion society, Reading society, NSS, NCC, etc. Small fests were being organized in Almost every month. There was an annual fest as well which was conducted at a larger level. Overall, my journey was full of exciting days, new knowledge, and beautiful events.
