Dibrugarh University FYIPGP (B.Sc + M.Sc) Admission is by CUET-UG Exam

I am already live in Dibrugarh. I wanted to pursue my Higher Studies in a reputed university and this University is one of the best choice I could ever make. It has great campus life, great faculty, good infrastructure but the roads are to be taken care of but overall a perfect mixture. I would recommend Dibrugarh University because it is really a good University, ranking among the top universities and many international students come here to study too. I came to this University because you are really given the right treatment, from medical to listening to your complains and good space to learn and grow.

I am a FYIPGP (Five-Year Integrated Post Graduate Program) student, pursuing Life Sciences where we could complete both, our Bachelors and Masters in the same subject. I qualified CUET-UG to get admission in this courses. FYIPGP was not introduced in all the departments at first. The seat intake is about 8 to10 students.

For my course, one can get admitted through the 12th marks, best of 5 subjects, etc. Admission fee is about Rs. 15,000/-. Exam fee is also taken additionally and during each semester, admission is taken where the fee is about Rs. 11,000/-. Special discount is for SC/ST students. Scholarships are provided and financial aid is also given.

Faculty members are great, friendly, and disciplined. There are many professors as well as research scholars that come to teach and each of them with unique approach. All of them have good qualifications, and high-level education. We have whiteboards as well as projectors, computer labs accessible to students too, notes are mostly given, but students have to give effort to make their own notes, as it is appreciable and more marks scoring. Our class has 23 students and every one of them is assigned to a mentor who gives special care to the students being assigned to them. There is balanced number of students and professors. Therefore, the ratio is too good.

We do have a placement cell at Dibrugarh University.

There are many hostels for both boys and girls. I have been to many of the girl’s hostels and genuinely the rooms are large, spacious enough for two members. Food is served three times at a day. Hostel fee is less, it is about Rs. 1000/- to Rs. 1200/- per month. It may vary
hostels do have strict rules, security guards are present and timings are around 10 PM or so where the students have to be present in the hostel. However, during programs, the timings are extended.

The blocks at Dibrugarh University are far from each other therefore enough space between the departments, with cool colors and also mini garden in front of almost every departments. There are many classrooms with many washrooms too, well maintained and hygienic, good ventilation and lightning. We have a great auditorium. We have two great fields where sports are conducted, a medical building where reputed doctors are present, and also a pharmacy, where free treatment is given. We have many canteens, two are really big, and two are moderately big enough. My favorite part is the fields, massive fields where many sports take place and really entertaining during the sports week. Security guards are present. I forgot to mention about the library, common library is so beautiful outside and inside. Almost all books are available and the sittings.

Campus life is excellent. Many events take place from self-defense to yoga, to farewell to freshers, everything is enjoyable. Many artists are invited, even once P. T. Usha was invited during the sports week. Many great singers are invited during fests. Occasional concerts are also held, keeping the students entertained and balanced with academics. Holi, Diwali, and other festivals are also celebrated. it is very lively during those periods. My experience was great. A perfect balance of academics with entertainment and refreshment.
