Overall Rating
The SBSC New Delhi is one of the top Colleges of South Campus of DU. It has more than 50 years of excellence, the College is well known among the students. This College is considered one of the best Colleges because of the honorable principal Prof. Arun Kumar. He is known for his influential figure and strong opinions.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Com (Hons.). For admission, the students need to qualify CUET UG and after that the seat will be allotted through the CSAS portal. The exams are conducted once in a semester with internal assessments. The College follows NEP so the academics prepare the student for real life challenges. The College offers a variety of courses such as B.Sc, BA, etc.
Last year, the fee of my course was Rs. 17,000/- for the first year. This year, the new students have to pay Rs. 20,000/-. Beside this, the students also need to pay the examination fee every semester. There are no special discounts provided but the financial aid is provided after the fee payment and admission the College.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of SBSC New Delhi are good. They all have a great teaching experience in their respective field. The teaching methods include white boards, projectors, etc. The faculty is also approachable and helps the students whenever they need them. They take internal assessment of students throughout the semester and give interesting projects. The teacher to student ratio is 1:60. Overall, the faculty is well experienced.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the College has placement cell. It helps and guides the students about the placement process. Several companies visit our campus like Deloitte, KPMG, BCG, Bain & Company, EY, PWC, etc. The average package offered is 6 LPA and the highest package offered is 23 LPA. In 2024, more than 200 students got placed. I haven’t got placed yet because I am in my second year right now.
 

Hostel Rating
No, the College does not provide hostel facilities to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College was established in 1967. The campus infrastructure is developing over the time. There are multiple blocks which are well equipped with AC facilities and projectors. The campus has labs with latest technology computer systems, open auditorium, conference hall, library, etc. Overall, the infrastructure is great.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life so far at SBSC New Delhi is great. The crowd is good. There are several societies. The students can join any of them as per their interest. The College organises various activities throughout the year and also conduct an annual fest. There are various cultural fest organised by the College.

    My experience in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is very good. In my 1st semester I felt Lonely but as of now I am in 2nd semester. I have many friends and it's very enjoyable with friends and spending time with them. Faculty members here are very good. I am from commerce background and all the faculty members who I know are are very good in their field. They also use good technique for teaching.   • SBSC New Delhi accepts CUET score for admission in B.Com (Hons.)

    So, I am a student of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College New Delhi, and my experience so far has been really good. At the time of admission, I applied to multiple Colleges. I even got admission to some Private Colleges and studied there for around 1.5 to 2 months. But their fees were almost Rs. 2,50,000 to Rs. 3,00,000/- just for a bachelor’s degree.
