SRM University Amaravati Guntur B.Tech Seat is Allotted By SRMJEE / EAMCET Exams

SRM University Amaravati Guntur is a very popular University at Guntur. I am an EAMCET student. I opted this University in my counseling. Here various fests are conducted and the clubs are good too. And all of them are managed by students only. At this University, students are offered with varied wonderful opportunities. And also there is Semester Abroad Program where students can opt to study abroad for 1 semester. We can choose our preferred educational Institutions as per our will. The University has a diverse crowd with students coming from north, and some are even from other countries like Nepal, Africa, etc. The placements are also good here. One thing that I would like you all to note is that there is no option to choose a specialization like AI & ML in this CSE course for EAMCET students. Only for students who wrote SRMJEE entrance exam can opt for specialization in their specific course.

I enrolled in Computer Science and Engineering core through EAMCET. Students can also enter through SRMJEE entrance exam. My friends who wrote that exam said that it is very easy. But for EAMCET students, fee will be very less compared to SRMJEE entrance students. There is one mid-semester exam and one final semester exam. Exams are not as tough. One can prepare a day before the exam and can still manage to get a good score. And even the library is open till midnight during exams.

The fee for my course is around Rs. 1,17,000/- per year since I am an EAMCET student. For SRMJEE students, it goes up to Rs. 4,00,000/- per year. For hostel, it is based on the room type you select. For 4 sharing rooms, it is around Rs. 1,20,000/- per annum.

The faculty members are well educated. But, some of them are not as experienced. They have a rich academic background from some of the top educational Institutions. The teaching method generally includes PPTs. They use technological aids like Google Classroom where they upload all the relevant academic material. According to me, the faculty here can be improved.

Placements are good. Some industry exposed faculty is called by the University to provide placement training to students from 6th semester onwards. They are really very good. They will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself. Microsoft, TCS, Amazon, IBM, etc. will visit the University to hire the students.

Infrastructure of SRM University Amaravati Guntur is excellent. Facilities are superb. Classrooms are very neat and air-conditioned. Labs are also very neat. There is a big auditorium and a theatre. Canteens are also available for each block at the campus; the canteen food is good but a bit expensive for middle class students. Library is spacious where students can find many useful books. Overall the infrastructure is outstanding. There is also an open mess and a lawn in the premises. I would rate a 5 /5 to the infrastructure of the University.

Overall, the campus life it offers is nice but the faculty can be improved. There are many active clubs for various activities like Music, Dance, Coding, Cricket, Maths, Badminton, Tennis, etc. We can join any club based on our interest. Students can also participate in various extracurricular activities. The fest of the University is also well organised. The fresher’s day is called as 'Aloha' here and other events like traditional day, Halloween day, etc. are also organised. There are various departmental fests too organised by the students.
