Pursuing my Bachelor from NIT Raipur

Overall Rating
It’s been 2 years since I took admission in this Institute. I came to this Institute thinking about how exciting it would be to enter in NIT Raipur. I got this Institute on basis of my JEE Main scores. Overall, I would recommend others to take admission in this Institute.
 

Academics Rating
The Institute offers a wide range of courses. I had two options CSE or IT. The admission process was quite simple. For understanding about the particular subject you have to come to the Institute on the assigned dates. One semester is completed in 4 to 5 months. The syllabus is as per the industry standards.
I belong to general category and the fee I paid is Rs. 70,000/- per semester which includes the tuition fee. The students who belong to special category will get discounts. The Institute also provides scholarships to the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of NIT Raipur are good. You will learn so much from them. They have done Ph.D in their respective field. They use both traditional and modern teaching methods as per the subject requirements. You don’t have to be stressed about anything; the faculties are very helpful and will help you in every way possible.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a separate Career Development centre for the students. It conducts all the training, guide students, and makes them industry ready. There are some professors who all handle these and everything is done under their supervision. Last year, the highest package offered was around 19 LPA and average package was around 11 LPA. More than 700 students got job offers. The highest package of 62 LPA was offered by the D.E. Shaw company.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the Institute provides hostel facilities to the students. There are 5 boys and 3 girls’ hostels. In the first year. The hostels are assigned based on your entrance exam scores. The mess offers 4 time meal system and the quality of the food is not up to the mark. The hostel fee is around Rs. 60,000/- per year. The students who are in their first year are not allowed to come late. Form second year onwards, there no time restrictions.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is spread over 100 acres. The infrastructure of this Institute is getting improved with one more building constructed behind the main building. Last year, the sports complex also got renovated. The campus has sports ground, labs, Wi-Fi facilities, etc. The classrooms are well equipped with blackboard and AV systems.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life till now is average. If you make good friends then the campus life will be very chill. The Institute conducts various fests and they are average. Various other events are also conducted every month. There are 16 clubs which make sure your first year remains enjoyable.

    I'm currently pursuing B.Tech degree from National Institute of Technology, Raipur. Overall, what I can say is that this institute is good. Choosing it is kind of worth it. Well my JEE Main percentile is 93.6 so, I had to choose this institute as I want a decent NIT tag. For me, choosing this one is worth it because it is much better than choosing some lower government and private colleges.     NITs are excellent compared to other institutes. NIT Raipur has good placements. I am studying in Information Technology branch. It is excellent in academic and well organizing fests and events. many clubs are there in the institute. in addition, many students are active and participate in all activities conducted by institute.     I joined this Institute in 2024. My branch is information technology. I joined this Institute because the average package of this branch is around 18.6 LPA CTC. I got Indian Institute of technology Patna mechanical engineering during JOSSA counseling but I applied for CSAB for this Institute.     Therefore, the overall experience in this Institute is very good because in our Institute all the things are very good just like my branch and my teachers. I chose this field because I am from Chhattisgarh and that is an area of mining so there is a scope on this field and i want to encourage my juniors to go this field and serve our country.
